They had one girl do the same thing a couple years ago and transfer to Murray. Everyone in the area knows she was recruited. Did they say anything then? No!! Now that all of the kids are leaving the school they had to put a plug in the drain anyway they could.

You have to understand all of the reasons that there are many kids leaving the Hickman County School System. I don't see how you can blame the kid for wanting to leave. There are many problems going on in that school system and they want to blame everyone else instead of looking at the problems that they have themselves. Heck the school board made a ruling not to allow more kids to leave so they don't loose any more money because they are loosing them by the dozens. It's not athletics!!! They are looking to blame anyone they can so they look like the ones that do no wrong. Sad if you ask me.

Carlsile getting it together. Won the class A championship in carbondale tournament. Beat Murphysboro, IL in first round, New Madrid, MO in the second round. Beat huston, a memphis, TN team by 25 with a running clock in the championship game. All I can say is watch out.

The carlsile/hickman game wasn't close. Up by 30 at one point. Starters sit the bench much of the second half.

Carlisle will defiantly be a different team by the time everyone comes back from Christmas. To many have been out and many have been sick. School is closed two days for sickness.

The 1st Region is going to be tough this year. The big schools are going to be good. I wouldn't count out the comets this year. Going to be an interesting season.

They will make the tempo the way they want. They are a solid team of seniors that play an unbelievable man to man defense. On the offensive end they can pound the ball inside or shoot the 3. Very tough team to matchup to.

That's where I don't understand some of the ranking systems that we have McCraken County #93 , Marshall Co #112 Carlisle County #184 Carlisle has won against both. I understand they have had some games they should have won and didn't but they are still 13 - 6. If they had played the way they can in a few games should be 16 - 3 or 15 - 4. Don't believe there are 183 teams in the state better than they are.

Pretty sad that the 1st region can't have the games on a neutral court. Mayfield defiantly had a clear advantage.

Hope Carlisle isn't looking past Mayfield which should be a good game!! I am looking forward to seeing the Murray/Carlisle matchup. Carlisle is the closest one to match up with them. Should be a full court game from start to finish. Thought it would be the matchup for the finals untill Carlisle got the seed they did.
