I am thinking Newcath will be trying to reinvent themselves. New coach, loss of keeper and quite a few seniors including a key defensive player, their leading scorer and a player who was the enforcer in the middle. Quite a few holes to fill in their lineup.

That may be the case. Just what I heard from some CCH parents who had heard that.

Newcath home soccer field is right behind the baseball field. A lot of volunteer work from parents have them both becoming pretty nice playing surfaces

I was told that it wasnt covcath that denied him but rather he chose newcath. I heard he didnt think there was enough diversity at covcath and didnt feel comfortable.

Yes JV starter as a slot. Is there another transfer coming from SK that was a varsity player? I dont recall sk losing any other players that I heard.

Transfer I think is Ryan Muck. Had productive year catching the ball, runs good routes, has great hands, threw for a couple touchdowns and blocks well downfield. He has good size as well. I think he is around 6'1". I heard he is having to appeal for eligibility though which may result in missing Spring ball.

That is good news. I thought they were heavy with seniors from what I saw. In coming seniors should be pretty good from what I hear but not sure beyond that. What makes you think there is a lot of talent in the pipeline?

Mr. Martin certainly appears to be a good role model and a stand up guy. Hopefully for the sake of their program he has gained a lot of knowledge of soccer, how to maximize the kids to their potential and an understanding of positioning. The fear here is that NCC panicked that they weren't going to find someone highly qualified after letting an experienced coach go and quickly settled for a high character former alum that at a minimum had some knowledge of the program. I don't see any reference to his being a former or current player in adult leagues nor any coaching certifications/training in the notice of hire so I guess we will have to wait and see what kind of soccer guy he turns out to be. People may not have liked "big mike" but he was a winner and obviously knows the game.
