  1. There has been several injuries to NCC players preventing them to play or even dress. Center back and leading scorer have both missed several games. As I recall it was one persons opinion that the conditioning was going to play a role in the season not the rest of the NCC faithful.
  2. Yes. The game went another 4-7 minutes after the 40 minutes expired. Early in the second half the time was stopped to tend to NCC's keeper who was injured. Longest extra time I have seen in quite a while.
  3. Final. Goal in stoppage time for Conner makes this a 3-3 final.
  4. Even when trailing by a fair number of goals they never quit or get down on themselves. I agree with you oldtime that a win would be awesome and deserved because of the determination and attitude!
  5. Y Let me begin by reiterating I am a NCC supporter but I think you surprisingly have missed something, well lots of things but one I think needs addressing. Perhaps the reason NCC looks like the best conditioned team is because they start every game in what appears to be slow motion. They seem to finally wake up in the second half unfortuanately trailing in the match (henry, brossart and cooper last three matches). Energy seems to come from schultz, muck (who plays hard start to finish IMO), liles and randle but all usually in the second half. I would like to see high energy start to finish and as an entire unit. I heard several in the stands last night with the same opinion. Cant coast first half, turn it on in the second and renounce yourselves as "best conditioned".
  6. G As a NCC supporter, I have to agree with you. Better depth last year. Seems that they increase intensity in second half of games but have continued to dig holes for themselves early that become hard to overcome with increased competition. They simply lack a lot of high quality players and depth. Playoffs not out of the question but deep run is unlikely.
  7. Thanks. Looks pretty accurate for goals but may not be entirely complete in assists although certainly close. Thanks again.
  8. U Great info. Where did you find these? Is the info easily available?
  9. I was sitting almost directly across from the AR and I can tell you my arm went up at the same time as the flag. The center was trailing the play by 10-15 yards. No idea why he would overturn it when it was already correctly called. He was really quick with the whistle all night. I Started to think heading the ball was illegal since he called a foul on almost every one. Called a lot of "touch" fouls but then let a clear shirt pull in the box that negated a possible shot to tie it late go without a call. Going to try hard this year to not allow poor and biased officiating dominate my posts. At least NCC doesnt play at Highlands this year so there is at least some hope I can be successful.
  10. Not sure I agree with you on everything here. I agree that St Hernry dominated the first half but only had a couple legit scoring chances. First goal was an offsides that got reversed by the center. I think they ended up getting called offsides 8-9 more times throughout the match after that so clearly there was a trend there. Second half definately belonged to NCC with 3-4 good strong shots sailing over the net that easily could have gone in if on frame. I didnt think Henry looked as solid offensively in the second half. The other two goals Henry scored were nice goals and well played balls with nice finish. NCC moved Muck from center mid to striker at half and a lot more chances were created. Had NCC come out with that formation and the same intensity as the second half the outcome could easily have been different. Officiating was terrible as well but I have learned to expect.
  11. Deondre is good to go from what I hear. Tweaked his ankle but could have returned later but kept him out as a precaution.
  12. He did but only with the jv group. Passing game looked pretty good overall. Single coverage on the outside so still a lot of opportunity for more if they wish. A couple recievers that looked pretty good but seemed to constantly rotate in and out so never really had a chance to get in the flow of the game. I assume they are still evaluating what they have
  13. H Any idea what class each of these players are entering this year? Curious if we will see these players beyond this season or if it is a heavy senior listing.
  14. Really Dbl? I hope you are just doing this to get a rise out of pp otherwise you are really beginning to sound childish. Currently you are embarrassing yourself and the proud NCC program.
  15. Appears to me that there must be some personal animosity here since I have yet to see any actual evidence to "the game passing him by". How is the ncc program in a better place now that he is no longer leading this program? Maybe answering this question will shed some light.
  16. G The game certainly has not passed him by and in fact may be more knowledgeable about this years ncc team than most people. He is really good at putting the players in the best situations to succeed, knows formations and adjustments to counter what opponents may be doing. If I am not mistaken this past weekend at BGG ncc started with a big win, won the second 1-0 and lost the third 1-0. Never scored on a set pc or by any type of designed play from what I heard. Defense must have played well but sounds like the offense stalled against so so competion.
  17. What makes you think they are going to pass more? From what I have heard the plan is still to run the football and maybe throw it as many as 8-10 times per game. Maybe that is an increase over previous years? If thats the case I don't really consider that opening things up much. Why is it that some of their better athletes arent playing? I'm a little worried about the defense so far in the early going. Depth could be an issue particularly on this side of the ball. Hopefully reps and additional time in the weight room between now and ncc game will help. Hoping for a good year from the Eagles!
  18. Agreed. They did look pretty good overall and it never hurts to be the best conditioned team on the field.
  19. He was running them. Apparently it is to show the opponent that even after a full game they still have "gas in the tank". Pretty sure a few of the boys had left it all on the field and really didnt need to run sprints afterwards especially in 90 plus degree temps.
  20. I dont know that they really kept score for the Scott v HC v Holmes 7v7. I am certain there is a long list of excuses coming regarding the sk loss if that indeed happend. As most of us know, these 7 v 7's are super important and we should keep the preseason standings as a true reflection of what is to come in the actual season
  21. Scott looked pretty good on offense. Passes looked fairly sharp and a couple guys showed some good hands. Guys were getting open so certainly upside should they decide to open it up a little. Defense was decent but some blown assignments left guys open for easy completions. Worked a lot of players in and out so looks like still a work in progress. No line pressure obviously plays a huge roll as well. Decent amount of spectators which was good to see as well.
  22. 2700 yards is great. Wins, division win, playoff wins and opportunity to retain good players and not lose them to a balanced attack like sk would be better for the program moving forward. Good QB's and recievers wont come here to hand off and block downfield all the time
  23. I am not trying to say they arent a good running team. I am just saying that that style offense will only take them so far (otherwise teams would still run it). My understanding is that the Eagles are on the verge of being much improved. If they want to take it to the next level and compete with the other team in the area for players then they should consider changing up the offense some. Ever something like the wishbone would give running backs good options with a fullback yet still have wideouts for passing attack. I want success for the Eagles this season and beyond
  24. I have noticed a fair number of mentions regarding the running game for the Eagles and I think someone said they run a 1950's offense. Is there any hope of changing up formations at all moving forward? On average, how often did they pass per game last year? Changing things up a bit may help determine how good this team can be
