  1. Think it all depends on if West can get Elkins in foul trouble. They've got to get to the rim to be successful, most of their shots at the rim are through contact. If Elkins stays out of foul trouble, I see him with at least six blocks, potentially double-figures. I will say that West matches up pretty well defensively. Bell and Tyler will get theirs, but they should give Boyle a run. I'm thinking Boyle wins by 9.
  2. I've seen all four play, albeit not that much, and I'm the same — I'd take Bell and Tyler over Conway and Taylor. It's close on both occasions, and like "First" said, it's apples and oranges. All four are great players and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them on your team. They're all proven winners.
  3. The top four are in a league of their own, then it's the next two, then it's everyone else. The 12th has some high-quality depth this year, that's for sure. Think, if East Jess kept Ronnie Carson, TJ Downey (who is killing it at Lafayette right now) and Cam Jones, they'd be right up there as well.
  4. I'm kind of surprised by this one, but should I be? East has struggled this year, might be looking toward Friday's game.
  5. Mercer didn't show a killer instinct against West Jessamine last Friday. They could come in hungry for a win, hungry to prove themselves, or they could come in overhyped and Boyle could pick them apart. I think the latter is more likely to happen, and if Elkins plays, it'll be a solid 8-12 point Boyle win.
  6. A little birdie told me Cam Jones is now enrolled at West Jessamine. He'll play there next year.
  7. Per what I am reading on Twitter.
  8. I'd put West Jessamine above Pulaski, but other than that, solid ranks. West at Mercer on the 23rd is going to be a good one, probably will decide the winner of the 46th. Also, East Jessamine's Hayden Smith set a career-high with 40 points vs. Madison Southern on Monday. He's averaging 30 points a game in the last nine games (since Cam Jones left the team).
  9. Anywhere I can watch/ listen to this? Having trouble finding a station
  10. Not if they played like they did at Rockcastle. But they're a team that plays to the level of their opponent and do really well in energized atmospheres. On a Friday night, anything could happen.
  11. West led for a majority of the second half. Lost it in the final three minutes. Would have tied the game at 63 with 1.5 seconds left on a free throw, but a ref called a lane violation. Tough call. Rose finished with a game-high 25 points. West's Ely scored 21.
  12. Hayden Smith will finish 1st in the region w/o Cam on East.
  13. Don't think Danville quite matches up. Boyle by 15.
  14. Hayden Smith with 35 for East. Great game, was 64-62 with three minutes left. West put it away at the line, East too impatient on offense in 4th q.
  15. Not sure. My guess would be he had a falling out with the coaching staff. He and Ronnie Carson didn't have a perfect track record last year, either.
  16. I think he's got a chance to lead the 12th in scoring this year. Without Cam on the team he's averaging over 30 points per game.
  17. Hayden Smith drops at least 30 for East, Rashawn Jackson plays well in his return to West High but the Colts win this one comfortably.
  18. East Jessamine junior guard Camryn Jones no longer with the team. That changes things.
  19. Anyone given Boyle County a shot? Interested to see who they would include.
  20. Can we get some updates on Carson playing? Thought he would be back by the new year, but he didn't play on the 3rd against E-Town.
  21. Think they're a classic "get up for the big games" kind of team. Quite a few lackluster performances for them, but the way they walloped Southwestern, you're right. They can play with anyone in the 12th if it's their night.
  22. Going to be a great week of games. Think East Jessamine could surprise some people when they play at West... West has struggled with penetration and that's what Cam Jones does best.
  23. East Jess has an 8th grader and freshman getting significant minutes right now, both have talent. Supporting cast is the question. Not much else around them.
  24. West won a scrimmage earlier in the year by five. I don't think they've improved as much as GRC. Still going to be a tough game, but I have GRC by 3.
