No. Scores the most isn't automatically the best. And neither is rebounds the most. I noticed Greenup didn't report free throw percentage or FG %. I'd be interested to know what Jair's free throw made percentage was. Does anyone have that statistic? And KHSAA doesn't show stats on any team for steals, deflections, blocks (obviously Jair would excel here), assists, or turnovers. You can't go by numbers alone.

All this discussion proves is the region doesn't have a power team right now. The team who is working the hardest to improve in their weaknesses while we are having this discussion will be the one on top next Spring.

I'll give props to Whelan. He's a heck of an athlete. Great kid. Smart basketball player. Great soccer player. Had a great performance at state AAU last weekend for Charlotte Court. Just like I'll say Callahan can shoot the lights out. I can recognize other kids' accomplishments.

And I remember one turnover to Griffith under EC basket on an inbound. He practically handed them the ball. Whelan is a great kid, but like all kids isn't flawless. It was a turning point in that game.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Rowan didn't make it to the finals. Callahan was triple teamed by nachos, Mt Dew, and popcorn during the finals. No I didn't forget. That's the point. Everyone says if Perry is best in the region why didn't Morgan win? Conversely, If people think Callahan was the best in the region why didn't Rowan win? A team's success and failures do not rest on one student-athlete. So, Mr. Viking. If Ryne Callahan was best player in the region, and wasn't even double teamed- why didn't Rowan win?

Perry is hammered on all the time. That's a fact. Teams from in and outside the region. I can name several games. If you want, I will.

1-Shouldve changed them all to begin with. Nobody thought games would be played Thursday. I don't know why they didn't just move then am initially. 2- If girls went to SUNDAY. None of this would matter. Boys could've played 1,3:30. Clear gym since money is obviously on everyone's mind. 6:30,8 Didn't mean to cause such an uproar. I just don't know if this was a consideration at all or not. Don't forget. There's two gyms on Morehead's campus too.

I'm not sure who picked these dates. But they obviously didn't consider fairness of the rescheduled dates in regards to the upper and lower brackets. Lower bracket will have 3 games in 3 nights now. That's a lot, even in regular season play. From what I've read, most other regions have rescheduled all their quarter final matches to play on Saturday only. I feel like Fleming/Raceland and Ashland/Morgan have received the short end of the 16th's shaft.

Who makes these decisions? Lex KHSAA or regional officials?

Can it McPapa. Nobody on here cares about the game. Just mudslinging I'm sick of it. Fans on both sides need to grow up. Including fans of my home team. Why can't everbody grow up. Geez. That's what's wrong with HS sports. It's not the kids, players, even coaches. It's the "fans" who ruin it.
