A great coach is the coach makes the game about the kid and not themselves. A great coach spends time teaching life lessons thru the game of basketball. A great coach takes young men and makes fine upstanding men. Ultimately very few coaches will every coach a professional basketball player. Wins and losses ultimately come down to who has the better athletes. If you want to know who the best coaches are ask their players 10 years after they stop playing the game.

Newport is a much better shooting team than Cov Cath. Newport lacks in depth and it shows later in games. I take Newport, Taj can eliminate Highlands dominance in the middle.

Is the 10th region that much better than the 9th region? Dixie has 2 players that’s suppose to be top 10 players in their region.77-68 Newport. Lloyd seemed to have a sub schedule set coming into the game. Campbell played a more of the starters longer and made big runs. Plus Darrien Jackson played very little. I think starter against starter Campbell would have won but not a blowout as it was in scrimmage. It looks like Lloyd will play 7 kids 3 of which is sophomores that will grow immensely by years end. Plus Campbell Co is a damn good team no shame in falling to them.Shea will be the staring point guard.He’s probably one of the best point guards around didn’t get to show his potential at his last school.There’s the problem. If the coach acts like that then it tells parents and players it’s acceptable.Holmes is young but I think they are going to surprise a lot of people. I think Holmes is a few years away but they will catch some teams off guard this year.Darrian JacksonDemario Foster ,Tez and Tay Calloway. Demario will be a big name this year.
