I had many great coaches and the teams I was on was very successful. The coaches I would say was the greatest taught me Accountability. . What is success? Wins /losses? Growing up, I was focused on winning. I’m glad my coaches taught me teamwork and accountability. In my own coaching career parents and kids want to say great accolades to me. I always tell the parents, see you in 10 years if the the young athlete comes back and says you made the difference in my life, then I was a good coach. I hope when just 1 of my athletes say coach was the reason I did or didn’t make the rite decisions in my life. That’s the great coaches, the ones who get that phone call from the kid who says you made the difference in my life. Webster dictionary definition of a coach is who is the best recruiter.

A great coach is the coach makes the game about the kid and not themselves. A great coach spends time teaching life lessons thru the game of basketball. A great coach takes young men and makes fine upstanding men. Ultimately very few coaches will every coach a professional basketball player. Wins and losses ultimately come down to who has the better athletes. If you want to know who the best coaches are ask their players 10 years after they stop playing the game.

School districts should follow the guidelines and educate. Sounds to me like the coach is the least mature person on the field. Football is nothing but a tool for education of the student in life lessons. There should be accountability from coach and player. I’m fine with discipline, this act isn’t discipline. I bet if offered the pay out or all the coaches,AD, and super intendant firing they would choose the later. The school district won’t offer that cause the have to admit they hired the wrong guy and admit fault up the line. They will pay out to keep it all hush hush. I see it in my own school district. Cause the personal is immune they continue to allow these same kind as of actions.

Wouldn’t that kinda be a waste of time for him? Not really going to make him better. -
It was meant as a joke. Still with the weather here and the great distance.

Newport at Highlands predictions
Woodland replied to Indiana Patrick's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Newport is a much better shooting team than Cov Cath. Newport lacks in depth and it shows later in games. I take Newport, Taj can eliminate Highlands dominance in the middle. -
If true the family should not have had to sue. The coach should have already been handed his walking papers losing his pension. School districts are some of the most crooked businesses in this country. School districts sweep it under the rug til their feet are held to the fire. Maybe they should or shouldn’t be paid for the lawsuit. Many more people than just the coach should be fired.

Is the 10th region that much better than the 9th region? Dixie has 2 players that’s suppose to be top 10 players in their region. -

Well if the district and coach is in the rite they should fight it. The lawsuits would go away. A lot of people and coaches abuse their powers. Lots of people are afraid to stand up when they see things happen for the repercussions brought upon them. Look at Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Bobby Knight. This stuff is happening rite here in NKY. Wait till someone doesn’t accept an out of court settlement , you will be surprised. People of power deserve to control the classroom and sports team including police officers and judges but when abused should be he to a higher accountability.

Does the kid have an IEP? If so you can’t sue immediately. Lots of coaches have to much power in the school the Bobby Knight story is just a small glimpse. I see major issues in the school district I live in. Many high school coaches are focused on wins and loses. They lose the focus of what high school sports is really about. I agree in college it’s a business wins and loses count much more. Ninety-nine percent of high school athletes will never play college. I bet the parents win and deservingly so.
