if your saying due to cost of these sports, I would tend to agree I also think its why they do in vball and soccer, these have become club sports that are very expensive to play year around, train and travel etc. not sure but you provoked my thought

As I said we are. 2 with the same name. I think I have this. 1) who lives near HC living wise is totally legit. We all should be very very happy for her Going to be a force. 2) A kid left school after trying out and making JV. Picked up and left class and enrolled at HC. She happens to be very close with #1. Played on same aau team and let's say has more real Friends at HC than at her previous school. (which I don't know how is the top academic school in the state-not) please see I said real friends. 3) a girl from a private catholic school in that same area as NCC and hcc trys out for nd and either doesn't make it or most likely nd realizes they have more than enough come out for freshman and they cut her lose. She tried ncc ND and then called HC and she is there playing now probably with no intention of going to HC at all. I know of another first hand that's upset about #3 we could see his daughter at HC as she was going to shadow anyway and she is a NDA feeder and by far the best 8th grade athlete going to ND next year from the feeders Just giving facts. I may change my profile name to that justdafax

I agree About all that IF this is the case BUT gain a girl who goes to a catholic school in Campbell county and yes tried out for NDA on the court Monday until she was either told they had enough players or whatever then shows up at HC the next day. How does she " belong there " sounds like she belongs wherever there was a place to play. Which is totally ok as yes it's the KY way of doing things. But let's call it how it is. She was at NDA for tryouts. Confirmed by more than 5 parents. Only interest was because the provirus bper said there has never been one play that wasn't in high school. So in this one particular case it's not about how great HC is or there great tradition. It's about finding a place to play last minute. Again which is fine and just glad a 13 yr old who wants to play found a place and a very good one at that Unless there are 3 girls and not 2 being talked about

Unneeded position. Do they have one for soccer and volleyball ? 2 sports there that I can see needing one over basketball. I can't see that NDA coach Using it but anything other than a secretary. I also wonder if this is a paying position and if so do the parents have to pay in one shape or form for it. Whatever this position does how about the assistant coaches do it.

not true. Winstel was brought in the beginning of the season when foust was suspended for the T's. She left at the end of the season. NDA lost on a last second shot 2 years ago in the region and dealt with a series of issues last year that will not be repeated.

I have no dog in any fight for boys basketball. But this was interesting to me. I was at a close friends sons St Paul 4th grade game Sunday at IHM. The game prior was 3rd grade boys. I watched a boy from Pius play who was very skilled. Hitting step back 3s, handles defense every part of the game. He should have been playing 4th or 5th grade. Being a huge basketball fan I said to a Pius parent, another Cov Cath future player? The end result was I heard they don't know. "He's only 9" and " CCH needs to do something about their academics first" So I don't think everyone agrees that CCH holds the pinnacle on academics
