Holy Cross 46 Notre Dame 38

Fair enough as I said it was hard to see besides turners arms fly at 15. Looked more than a push but I will take your word as you seem to have seen it better than me. I did see her push the ref away. I Would like to see a video of the last 2 mins. Wow ! -

Took my 5th grader girl to a very hard fought game. NDA short handed deserve to win this game. Outplayed HC. IMO. Bad call against Nda 40 on a made Nda throw Was her 5th and she was controlling the game Looked to me and I was very close to it that 12 of Nda had a clean steal at end of game down 2 I think. What I didn't understand and would like someone to tell me. Turner looked like she threw a punch at the Nda player. I don't think it landed but she surely looked like she tried but then she pushed the ref it looked like at least. Again I couldn't see clearly but I would like to know what happened and if she did throw a swing or touch a ref what is the rule ? -

Who will be the next Covington Catholic football Coach?
playitagain replied to theguru's topic in KY Football (High School)
Bob crable was or is not an assistant at moeller. His son Matt was the qb and playing at a D2 school next year. Bob coached moeller 8-10 years ago as the head coach. I wouldnt rule it out. I've heard from others close to bob say he would consider coaching after Matt goes to college. SATURDAY games in park hills may hurt that when. Grand valley plays on Saturdays. -
Dave Wirth out at Covington Catholic

Feeder schools are way up and this trickles down to CCH and NDA and others I wouldn't give credit alone to him. some public schools aren't taking more students which has forced parents to parents to send to the feeders -
article Is Covington Catholic really that good a job?
playitagain replied to Cynical's topic in KY Football (High School)
Some interesting thoughts but why would a Cincinnati GCL school be such a prestigious and sought after job. Moeller and X are in the same boat. I get that your referring to NKY but it can be looked at the same. I don't buy some of the points. The very reason many public schools fail are because they don't have near the parent support as private schools. So if your have 2 children your paying to send there at 14k-20k a year, yes you expect a higher level of things. 2) Highlands can be free. CCH is not. Its very expensive and most families can't afford nor are willing to sacrifice to send their children to a private school. Hence CCH may lose kids especially in the last 10 years. families also do not send their children k-8 then switch over for that reason. see CCH basketball. 3) lights and facility. Moeller has no field period. hasn't stopped them. They rent a place 20 minutes away. why would a kid go there. Plus half there games are at 7pm in Cleveland, Indy, Nashville, Louisville etc. so they cant do yard work either, but I agree get some lights CCH my gosh. 4) expectations: same why would the GCL be different. Elder, LaSalle have just as high if not higher than CCH and those are big time sought after jobs. I don't buy good football players grow up east of DT and up 471 and not 75. I know a ton of young great athletes in the feeder areas for CCH who at 9, 10 and 11 and 12 and have not played football nor want to yet they all play AAU basketball and baseball and are great. I can tell you the best 3rd and 4th and 5th grade athlete in CCH feeder do not play football and at this time have no interest doing so. It comes down to tradition the past 10-15 years. every boy in CCH area wants to be the next Luke Maile or Nick Ruthsatz. IMO and my thoughts and I have no children that have attended either -

Be careful. Karna. -
What is the status of Nda guard "6th man" Heard she was on crutches last night at KBC for CCH game I agree in having seen both teams play, Especially if she is out. Nda can't handle the Lady Dawgs pressure
-
Great win for the Cougars. Scott looked like a team that were thinking About how they beat SK. A let down for Scott for sure.
-
this will be a 10-15 pt game for the Dawgs, if both teams are full strength.
-
Good point. Seems like a naive agreement by notre Dame. Why let your opponent maximize home court. Are the Nda girls going to the cch game now

Big changes in AAU for 2015

100% agree with enman. Also why August 31st? makes no sense. Its a march to July sport for aau. Should have made the bdate related to the activity.. AAU will lose many of these bday kids to baseball. -
Love the new AAU age rules!

The date in which the made the cut off is ignorant. AAU is a march to July sport. I agree the idea of getting this age difference fixed is great but the date makes no sense -

They will play hard but they are still without their key post player Smith and have another key player out with the flu. Smith for sure will not be playing again -

Love the defense. -
I watch film or video of games I felt the officiating was questionable in. 95% of the time it was worse than when we were frustrated in the first place No one expects a perfectly called game but be consistant on contact be consistent in what a walk is. And yes I have seen personally refs chatting with fans in the seats being sarcastic to them. To me the sign of a BAD ref and there are many is that exact thing. An ego to let everyone know they have the power of the whistle. I realize they are doing this because most need the second income but have pride in what you do. Id like to know how many go back and watch the film of calls in question and learn from them. Do they get evaluated by a person in charge of the crews. ? There is many good refs as well. Maybe we should post a thread of the good and bads 😀. Just kidding
