I still don't understand how Wayne would clinch the #1 seed, considering both Wayne and SW would have a district record of 3-1. Wouldn't it be a coin flip?

Question: If Pulaski and Rockcastle tie with records of 4-2, who gets the nod as the #1 seed? I can't seem to remember how that works, is it a coin flip, or strength of schedule?

Mercer County at 1, Southwestern at 2, and then 3-10 is a shot in the dark.

Casey was without Dj White (border bowl) and Max Reyes (ankle) against Rockcastle. White arrived late against West Jessamine, and Reyes did not play.

Only thing that stood out to me while watching this game was Danville's poor shooting and shot selection. Quite a few turnovers for both teams as well. Elkins played a solid game offensively and defensively, he locks the paint down! Boyle made Danville play their way tonight, slowed it down on offense, and forced the outside shot on defense.

I said in the summer that Boyle would be among, if not, the best defensive team in the region.

Hearing that Riley Hall did not play, and that the 2 New Mexico transfers played.

Rebs played their best game of the season tonight. Defense has really improved, and they are passing the ball well. Stallworth took out starters with 3 mins left and a 24pt lead. Jake Smith led with 21, followed by Dj White with 15. 4 of 5 starters in double digits, was a nice team win.

Actually seen them play Pulaski too, and didn't leave either game being that impressed. Blevins is playing good ball, and it's a shame Stears isn't 100%, but Mercer is a complete team top to bottom, with 5 starters that can put up big numbers on any given night. Not taking anything away from Wayne, but Mercer is on a different level right now, and you'd be crazy to believe that aren't going to come down to Wayne and not want to make a statement. We'll see.

Have it your way then! 19pts lol All jokes aside, I really do feel like Mercer is 20pts better than Wayne or any other team in the 12th for that matter. The home court advantage may factor in a little, but the Titans 'should' win handily. I predict Malik Dow to have a good game down in the post.

Tough tough night for the Rebs. Mercer is a great team top to bottom, got lots of offensive weapons, and I see no reason as to why they couldn't make a legit run at Rupp. They play very unselfish, and as a basketball fan you can't help but appreciate the way they play the game (even though they trounced my Rebs). I can only hope that we learn something from this and use it to grow more as a team. We played scared tonight. Hoping for a better outcome tomorrow night against Pulaski.

Overall the game was much closer than scoreboard indicates. Casey County led majority of 3rd quarter and went into the 4th with a 59-58 lead. None the less, a pretty nice early season showing for both teams. Currently trying to round up stats but not having much luck, think both Jake Smith and Peyton Gover finished with low 20's to lead their respective teams.
