Hearsay, I agree with you regarding the one sided officiating. I have NEVER been one to blame referees for losses, however this past Friday was different. I really thought the Tigers were going to take this one. The clock operator did have some issues for sure as well. Tiger's are going to have a rough hand in the new district/region next couple years. Bardstown definitely should not be counted out. CAL better watch out come round 2.

Does any body know if Bardstown's injuries are healing up? When I went to the Desales game they had about 6 sidelined that could have definitely been used. If they get healthy they can make a run in the playoffs.

I guess Egli thinks since his team gets drilled all the time he does not have to show courtesy when his team gets the chance to win. I was not at the game but I am willing to bet most the starters put up those 61 points, there is no need to run a team in the ground like that when they only scored 21 points. Eglis a joke.

I have no good memories of any of those teams although I reckon I would like to see the Tigers go exact some revenge on Glasgow. Plus its probably the closest drive out of the three, that Green Co drive is long especially on the bus.

I am saying we CAN beat ya'll if not for that pick six we would of been up at halftime the first half shows we can play with/beat ya'll. There's a good chance there will be two more halfs so just be happy yall won the first battle.

I feel like people are disregarding Bardstown's playoff run potential. They lost to CAL by a couple scores on a rainy night that obviously hurt Bardstown's speed which is crucial to their game. They lost to Desales by more but the game was closer than the score indicates. The best thing about these two games is that they'll have to see both of them again and it is hard to beat a good team twice. Not to mention since this class of seniors has been in high school starting in 2011 they have watch teams fall short by just a couple points they know what it's like to be sent home after a close game if they get put in that position in the playoffs my moneys on them against anybody in 2A.

In 09 and 10 they had some pretty good players they underachieved substantially those lines them two years were HUGE and they had a couple decent skill players.

How much longer do yall think it will be before County looks to change head coaches? Egli doesn't seem to be improving over there..

Bardstown had negative ten yards offense really? And was the rain really enough to negate Bardstown's speed and quickness?

I liked the banner the only thing I didn't like was that it was facing our own sideline (yes I know our winning streak is the one that came to an end) something like a quote on a banner shouldn't work people up like it probably did, a little bit of competitive spirit is great for football it is the essence of it. But Hearsay I don't see why you couldn't see a 2 TD victory over Desales in the playoffs. I'm not claiming they aren't good but they are very beatable. As far as CAL I haven't seen them play in years I'm just going off of what I seen Bardstown do against the number one team in 2A. Also I didn't say we had 6 starters out I said role players. I know Helton definitely starts he was out, Snellen and Smalley both probably see a good amount of action on atleast one side of the line, the boy with the cast on his foot is I'm guessing the talented sophmore you're talking about and then the Marksberry boy (white kid in the sling) probably gets some action in on defense. That is 5 role players out who we could have no doubt used against a team like Desales who had 6 players playing only defense, especially if we were tired in the second half.

No I wasn't talking smack at all that's why I said "i haven't seen CAL play so I can't comment much on them" also I was using Desales as a measuring stick for 2A like i said if they are "truly the number one team." But if you feel the need go ahead and enlighten me on CAL...

I haven't seen CAL play so I can't comment much on them, but just assuming that Desales is truly the number one team in 2A and having watched the game against them I don't see us not beating CAL. In 2011 their sideline wasn't that deep, I can't see them having anything special. You're crazy if you think Desales wins 10 out of 10 games Bardstown had a good 6 or 7 role players out. I ain't got to tell you though you'll see come playoff time.

That game was a good measuring stick for Bardstown. I personally think a loss the other night, especially in the fashion that it happened, was the best outcome for THAT group of kids. They took the loss which keeps them humble, they made numerous foolish mistakes like fumbles and interceptions, they did it with quite a few important role players out and not to mention they WILL see Desales again and its hard to beat a good team twice. Bardstown needs to work on some fundamentals get some other people besides Young the ball more often down the stretch of the season to preserve his body and get the rest of the team healthy. With all this being said they'll beat Desales in the region championship by at least two touchdowns.
