  1. Not sure who you are trying to call out with this post, but what is the KPL? Did they win the U-16 group or were there extenuating circumstances? I am hearing the latter. Everyone knows that soccer in the state of Kentucky is not very good as a whole. What top "club" teams did this team play against? Was it against Javanon or LFC top teams? Who were the top club teams in this KPL? I will answer that for you, no and none. The best soccer to play at the age these kids are is the MRL at a minimum and the best of the best play in the National League or the ECNL, not the KPL, the Buckeye League or CUSL.
  2. Check around before you make your accusations. There was more than one occasion where a senior or seniors played in JV football games. Not a tool are you?
  3. I know what happened, do you? Is this harrassment or is it bullying or is it something else? You figure out what the administration is calling it. I have not said one thing about a coach being fired. Has Highlands had an AD before their recent hire? Never said kids were getting special treatment either. I did say that the victim has quit the team now? You okay with that? Kid quits a sport he obviously likes to play because of the stupidity of supposed teammates? Kids should not be expelled from school, suspended yes. They should never wear a Highlands uniform again, period.
  4. Are you fools really believing that something did not happen? The kid had urine placed on his body not of his own doing. This is unacceptable no matter when, where, what time of day it happened. It is foul, gross, childish and most of all degrading to the person it happened to. The kid has since quit the team, so please tell me things are justified. Some of you Highlands people make me sick with your comments and like of posts condoning what happened as a boys will be boys thing. You cannot tell me that multiple kids urinated in a bottle with there being no intention to do something stupid and foul. To you PP92, if your kid was the urinated upon, you would be okay with that whether it was squirted, poured, dumped or whatever other way it was done? If so, I feel sorry for you and your kid and hope that you are never in that situation.
  5. I believe it for sure. This is the same guy who played seniors in JV football games. He has not done AD work for 20 years, why start now. Certainly he did not kick players off the football team, he just had them run a bit and still let them be captains. I am with Q, finish packing your boxes and hit the road.
  6. Not 100% certain on that aspect of things. Do know for a fact that the victim has in fact quit the team now. Pretty sad that the innocent party in all of this is the one suffering the most. Just not the way things should work in my humble opinion.
  7. What in the sam heck is this world coming too? Who in their right mind would first think about urinating in a bottle with others and secondly deciding to throw it on someone.
  8. I get what you are saying CAP. Seems like the easy thing to do is push a talented girl up to the high school ranks and a few years later be looking to replace 'them' with younger players. It is a vicious cycle. What happens usually is a kid that may improve with age and maturity gets passed over for the next hot shot youngster and gives up the game entirely. What you then have is a team with few if any seniors because there is always someone younger that is believed to be better.
  9. This is a pretty weak hire in my opinion. There were several heavy hitters that were much more qualified. KN did not even apply because he did not meet the qualifications. A good way to look at this is that a warm body is certainly better than nobody at all.
  10. Wow!!!! Really???? According to many of the 'so called' experts out there, maybe Highlands should just cancel their season since the ? are so huge. Same things could have been said last year and the year before that and the year before that if I am not mistaken. Weren't those QB's first year starters as well?
  11. Very interesting choice here I might say. Was this a matter of choosing the best candidate for the job or was this more a matter of money talks? Are the parents happy with this choice?
  12. Just curious, why was this the best year ever for girls soccer at Ryle?
  13. So where will these Juniors from Highlands go while they wait their turn? Have these kids been in the program?
  14. I look for NewCath to win this game by double digits. The Weyer kids game has grown by leaps and bounds from what it appears. May well be the best all around player on the floor tomorrow night.
  15. Is this for real? Nothing like instilling confidence in a high school kid with these statements and to get 2 likes none the less.
  16. Touchy aren't we? I too have heard that they YMCA has a very nice facility. Glad to hear that Brooklyn has continued to work on keeping herself in shape.
  17. Okay I get it now, we are talking about THE GYM where the best soccer players in the area are made correct? I will keep the "plug" comment to myself.
  18. I asked this yesterday in the prediction thread and got no answer. Can someone tell me if Holy Cross has an offensive lineman that is getting some D1 looks?
  19. Why don't you just name that certain fitness center? Give the guy a plug.
  20. Sorry. Holy Cross. Fairly new to this site and having some issues with my posts.
  21. Can anyone tell me about a kid that plays on the line that may be getting some looks from D-1 schools? Do not know his name off the top of my head, but he is a pretty big kid.
  22. So should it be talked about in its own thread?
  23. I I think the person that you quoted has tried to tell you and others more than once that the kid might not play basketball, yet you keep trying to refute that.
  24. So you are okay with every kid not playing in the game unless it is your kid? I have only seen Highlands play a few times, but you seem to have something to say about them after every game about what you would do different. In fact, were you not the one who started the nonsense about kids crying after the Dayton game? Why were those kids crying, if in fact they were?
  25. Not sure what game some of these people were watching. Thought NCC definitely controlled the first half and the second half was a little more even. I would say that NCC had the advantage in meaningful shots on goal in the first 80 minutes and that Highlands had better looks in the OT periods. Highlands front line players stand around way too much and tend to make only vertical runs which make it hard to connect passes to their feet. Felt the back line for NCC played much more under control whereas Highlands seemed to be a bad touch away from giving up a cheap goal opportunity. Goalkeeper play for each team was exceptional. Highlands really seemed to only have one kid # 15 I think that could do anything in the midfield while the others simply took up space. Neither team wants to draw into the same bracket as Notre Dame and the team that draws opposite them stands a good chance of making it to the finals.
