The Colonels managed only one hit in their season opener.

High school basketball at it's best, packed house, two stars going against each other, athletes all over the floor, two evenly matched teams that was jam up until the end. If you like high school basketball, it doesn't any better than last night with this game.

Great game, bunch of athletes on the floor tonight, Ware a very good player but Tandy unbelievable, he can be double teamed and just jump up for the jumper way out in the floor, great player - I thought McGowan had a very good game also, Tandy has a good supporting cast - UHA will own the region next year with Madisonville in the mix also - Ray Harper also at the game, he and Ford evidently watching Ware.

I am sure if Harper was still at WKU he would be going there.

What are the drawbacks as to why not much recruiting with Ware? Is it strictly the qualification issue? He's a hell of a player.

59-38 Tandy had 21, two early fouls - UHA didn't play that well but Union no match regardless

Ware with 45, UHA beat Union County in other semifinal - no surprise here, the 8th wins the region

Could be another 8th regional final but Henderson could easily pull the upset over Christian. Last time they played CC won 92-84 in double overtime but Anglin and Gaither had sub par games - other semi has UHA a heavy favorite over Union County. These two had a classic two years ago in the regular season when UC pulled the upset 112-107 in double overtime - Tandy had 41 and Travon Holloway had 30 - Bo Robison had 49 for Union, Buddy Thomas had 23 and Jacob Tapp had 21 - one heck of a game to see.

Well in the 2nd Hopkinsville is the largest seating around 4800 and Madisonville next at around 3800. I was just saying Union would be the third option rather than Hendo's 2500. I guess we are fortunate that we don't have those crowds the first has.

Union's gym capacity around 3500, When region held there posed no problems that I am aware of and I saw all games. Plenty of parking, only negative I heard was Morganfield hard to get to.

Same story as usual in the second, the eight goes to State.

No way tournament should be at Henderson, largest school in the region with one of the smallest gyms and parking not good.

A mini upset tonight in the 6th, I like Union over Webster in a tight game.

Nathan Isenberg - Interview him, listen to the tape, consult the Super to get all the details, inquire why she stated she made a hasty decision and then make a decision to enhance the OC baseball program. He will fit right in with the strong discipline the other coaches at OC exhibit. He knows baseball, knows how to prepare players to the next level. There is no better candidate available. If after listening to he tape and talking to the Super and Coach Isenberg and you are not impressed, by all means look elsewhere.

Won't help, OC needs a regionbuster

This is a weak hire. I don't like it but I understand it. He was the best of those who applied and would accept. He steps into a very good situation. This is a veteran team and he should advance to his first regional as a coach. With that said, the parents that run with the Super are also a veteran group and if he is kowtowing to them, they will eat him alive. I'm sure he has been schooled in this regard as he and Isenberg are good friends and it is rumored that Isenberg talked to him about applying. The end result of this debacle is the small group of parents succeeded in getting Isenberg fired as they set out to do but what does that say for the school system and the kids involved. I wish Coach Hines the best of luck.

He has been a little confused as to what really happened.

500 - Team was 24-14 this year, lost in the region to the winner and return with 7 seniors and 8 juniors and one of the best sophomores in the region, a veteran team who will be one of if not the regional favorite. Yea, it would have been nice to a few if the kid and his Dad could have ousted Isenberg and got the Uncle installed as the new coach with this veteran group coming back. They succeeded in getting Isenberg fired BUT the uncle will not be the new coach.

Misleading when you say tapes, only one tape in this fiasco.

I have listened to the tape and heard nothing that would warrant firing him. I was asking woodsrider because he said he did what he was accused of and my question is still " what is he accused of " - a simple question for those in the know.

What is he accused of?
