Favorite Quotes From Westerns
BuckeyeBoy2885 replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in Television / Films / Music
Some from one of my favorites from the Duke. "The Cowboys" We're burnin' daylight. Big mouth don't make a big man. Well, I have the inclination, the maturity, and the wherewithal... but unfortunately, I don't have the time. I regret trifling with married women. I'm thoroughly ashamed at cheating at cards. I deplore my occasional departures from the truth. Forgive me for taking your name in vain, my Saturday drunkenness, my Sunday sloth. Above all, forgive me for the men I've killed in anger......... and those I am about to. Asa Watts: You're a hard man, Mr. Andersen. Wil Andersen: It's a hard life. I'm proud of ya... All of ya. Every man wants his children to be better'n he was. You are. -

Very weak, the lack of eye candy is disappointing! I too have wondered about a location somewhere in North America. Drop them off in the Rockies with a frozen elk hindquarter and see how long some of the folks last. Jeff"Here are your buffs, Red Team your name is(mauled by bears) and Blue Team your name is (wolf bait). -

[Jeremiah has found the frozen body of Hatchet Jack] Jeremiah Johnson: [reading the note pinned to Hatchet Jack's shirt] I, Hatchet Jack, being of sound mind and broke legs, do leaveth my rifle to the next thing who finds it, Lord hope he be a white man. It is a good rifle, and kilt the bear that kilt me. Anyway, I am dead. Sincerely, Hatchet Jack. -

You exactly right! In the post game interview Jones spoke about how mad he was about that specific play. He indicated he was waving Denard away so he had space to juke the gunner. -

When Was The First Time You Remember Using A Computer?
BuckeyeBoy2885 replied to Colonels_Wear_Blue's topic in BGP Break Room
First computer we had in our house was a Texas Instruments don't remember model. Programs were loaded with cassette tapes which took awhile. They then had an attachment for game cartridges, I remember playing mountain climber. The last upgrade I remember was a voice synthesizer for it, wow sound from the computer. Quite awhile back my Mom was emptying out stuff before my parents moved. Choices were the TI computer and our original Atari system. My brother wanted the Atari, lost out on that one. I miss playing Adventure and Asteroids. Wore out several controllers playing Decathelon, not to mention lists of blisters! -

Seahawks @ Bengals - Predictions

Ride the streak (baseball hot hitter mentality) and you'll only be wrong once when it ends. If you bet against a streak or say it is due to end you set yourself up for a lot of disappointment. I think Andy stays hot, and Dline keeps Wilson on the run. 20-17 Bengals -
Blind spot new TV show

I watched last night for first time. Trying to figure out why if you want to extract the hospitalized guy your first thought is guns blazing. 100 different covert ways to start that extraction. I'll try to catch up on prior episodes to fill in the gaps. Definitely looks like a show that you can't skip an episode and know what's going on. -

When 49ers made that mad comeback in the Superbowl, many folks bemoaned the fact Bengals didn't take him over Andy. I'd say that decision is one feather in Marvin's cap. -

I am really happy with the overall outcome of the season to date. The things that worry me as concerns moving forward: 1) Penalties- On both sides of ball the team has overcome them to date. They have to reduce their frequency, in today's NFL they aren't being eliminated. Team has to know what's being enforced and adjust their play accordingly. 2) Tackling- I've seen too many plays which could have resulted in a tackle for loss or shy of the line to gain. An improvement in tackling will naturally filter into better defensive results. 3) Game Management Decisions- one name because buck stops with him, Marvin Lewis. -
If he doesn't start to figure it out and play better, Jones will mess it up all on his own. Cardale was third string last year for a reason which we all are not privy to. I doubt his physical skills have changed much in a year. An opportunity of a lifetime came up and against all odds he led OHio State to pay dirt. It seems those intangibles which made him third string are resurfacing. A tiger doesn't change his stripes. I hope I'm wrong cause sure looks like Urban is riding this wave all the way.
