Did anyone happen to catch any of Mason Counties summer games? I thought they looked decent in the few games I got to see, and I'm sure with the amount of time they've been spending in the gym, they'll look even better come regular season. Let's Play Ball!!!!!

Not the case…he is at Mason

Believe his knee has been bothering him. They've been putting in a lot of hours in the gym, and know mine is evening going for extra workouts in the mornings.

I think if Mason gets the help they need from their 2 senior big men, and Pig stay healthy, they will have a very successful season.

Lexington Future 15U

Mason scrimmaged Campbell and Ashland yesterday. Lost to Campbell by 9 I believe and believe beat Ashland by 15. Know Mason had players out for baseball, not sure on the other teams. Campbell knocked down several 3's and didn't miss from the free throw line, where as Mason had a rough time from the free throw line yesterday. Thought all teams looked good

Hope you're right. I like to see kids leave it all on the floor each and every game!!

Mason ended tied at 51 all in the scrimmage against Cov Cath last night. Garrison had to have had about 30. Seen a lot of attitude and not much heart coming from the Mason bench. Hope the boys can get it together and have a good season!

Mason lost to both Henry Clay and Bryan Station, I believe by 7 both games. Pig rolled his ankle in the Bryan Station game and didn't return. Not sure of team stats, but Garrison said he had 14 against Henry Clay and at least 20 against Bryan Station. He guarded Justin Mitchell of Henry Clay who is his teammate on Lexington Future AAU team. Does anyone have any team stats?

Heard Fox played quite a bit, Darrell Henry, Pig and Garrison said he didn't come out much at all. Not sure anyone's scoring but Garrison and he believed he had 15 against W Jasmine and 13 against Lex Catholic. With really only 1 player having much varsity experience, I'd say you are absolutely correct about the line up, etc being a work in progress

Don't have specifics because wasn't able to attend, but heard they looked pretty good. Believe they were led in scoring by Pig, Garrison and Fox.

How'd Mason look?

Didn't get to see the games, only complaint got from my boy was about Masons offense on the full court press, apparently wasn't working well, and l and I do have one of the most competitive, sorest losesr I've ever met lol. I'll take a 9 pt loss to Lex Cath though, two practices with a group of boys that haven't played much together, not to mention they beat Mason last year at home by 2...just saying

How'd the 10th region boys do at state this past weekend? Know Garrison had a good weekend. Not sure of averages, but dropped 24 in loss to Shining Starts in Final Game n defensively made it rough on pg's all weekend.

Shining Stars beat Lexington Future in a close one. Not to take anything from them because they played great, but believe they had 20+ points from the stripe. Refs were tired, mouthy with the fans.
