I think you will see a much more focused Cooper team tonight than we saw on Thursday. With that being said, if Newport plays a very good game, this could get interesting

Congrats Dawgs, rematch of two of the hottest teams (Conner, too. And SK) for the 9th Region Championship and a good battle just a couple weeks ago with Holmes beating Cooper in OT. Should be a great game Sunday afternoon!! Congrats also to the Lady Cougars on a great year and they are gonna be tough the next couple years as they return A TON!!!

Good thing the officials didn't see Coach Levandusky calling for a timeout after Lexi got the rebound! lol amazing awareness by both girls and smart basketball knowing the situation! Congrats HC on a good season! Their future is bright a lot of young girls on that team! And congrats Cooper on this dream season continuing! Toughest one yet coming Sunday afternoon can't let this one stick around in their minds too long

What an amazing comeback for Cooper and quite the collapse for HC. Cooper's press in the 4th completely baffled them and there was nothing they could do about it. Wow! Good game by both teams. One of those where you hate to see it end and hate to see a team lose

Dante did the camps, all of them lol. My point is just that where you play and the exposure you get matters

I don't completely agree with the first sentence. My example is Dante Hendrix out of Cooper. I do not care what anyone says, this young man could play DB at a major D1 level (Power 6 Conference, not necessarily Alabama or Clemson) but because Cooper did not get the exposure, not a ton of big schools went after him. He had some MAC interest, but I think Indiana State got a steal with this kid and will be a contributor his RS Freshman year there because of it. Had Cooper made it to the State Finals, I think that he may have gotten more looks. I guess what I am trying to say is, if you are a top talent you get noticed, but you don't get the serious looks unless you play on a really good team that gets a lot of exposure, and Cooper was just a little above average this year.

I totally think it depends on which Cooper squad shows up. If it is the Cooper squad from the 33rd District Tournament, might be trouble. If it is the Cooper team we saw last night, this one could be a barn burner. Either way, I hope it is a great game and both teams come out of it injury free

I think you have to start reaching out to all of your local colleges and building relationships with the college coaches. The other ideas are solid as well as far as sending out films, etc. But you have to be the one to try and get these guys to come into your building and speak to the kids. The kids need to go online and fill out the recruiting questionnaires on the schools athletic pages that interest them, and keep sending film to every school in the area and other schools the kids are interested in. That is a good place to start.

Definitely not one of Cooper's best showings, but give a lot of credit to HC. They came out and didn't back down even though no one gave them a chance to win. It's nice to see Cooper get tested and hopefully this will help them the rest of the way. Survive and advance is the name of the game, and I would much rather win ugly rather than lose pretty this time of year. I'll take Cooper "winning ugly" all the way to a state title ha ha. Congrats Jags! And also to HC for playing their tails off

I don't know what it is about Cooper and the 9th Region tournament at NKU but I don't think I can remember them playing well here. Holy Cross is just outplaying them

Yeah they did. Cooper makes its living off defense and they turned up the heat and it got to Holy Cross a little bit

He is a junior this year. I could see him getting a few minutes, the problem is he has Kunkel, McNeil, Runion, and Ollier all in front of him, plus the freshman Centers will possibly step in front of him also but he is a solid player

Cooper will be solid next year, a little behind CovCath, but wouldn't surprise me if they are able to play with them and come in at #2 next year. They return Kunkel, Runion, Walters, C. McNeil, Ollier, Schidler, have a really good freshman this year named Kevin Centers, plus a couple of their JV kids should develop into solid players. I expect them to still be pretty good but losing Hendrix and S. McNeil will hurt for sure

They did miss quite a few but give Cooper credit! The times Highlands tried to put together a run they had an answer! Also credit #23 Asyah Mitchell for the defensive effort on #13 from Highlands! I believe she did end up with 20, but I bet 10 of them were in the last 4 minutes of the game. She did a great job for 29 minutes guarding her!

I'll tell you what, if Coach Schrand is on BGP the day of a district championship game and is concerned with what my opinion is, then that is even more of a reason that I will leave Holy Cross on that line right there. The reality is, they have a 0.000000001% chance of winning so I went ahead and went with it. I will be the first to say I am sorry if they win.

Definitely a good win for the Juggs, but I don't think they are playing with or beating either CCH or Cooper on that big BB&T Arena floor

Looks like Cooper will play either Newport, Dixie, or Holy Cross. Definitely think that Holy Cross is best case scenario, no knock on them, best opening game for Cooper. Then a second round matchup with NewCath or Lloyd hopefully, we will see tomorrow morning I suppose!
