Johnson Central defeated Cov Cath in 2010. Guess you don't do much research. However, did they win state that year..? No. Belfry didn't either, but they made it there. JC didn't. Guess JC was better than them that year too.

Were they the best?

JC isn't the best east from Lexington. Belfry has the best program east of Lexington. JC had ONE of the best record east of Lexington.

And what did you get from those games? You got to see football and a score. But yet, no trophy. Belfry on the other hand, has countless. By no means am I a Belfry fan, but you crack me up.

Basically....may be able to compete for the best team in the nation.

I think this game may have been so much different if Dixon would have caught the first pass thrown. Great ball and when he turned around it hit his helmet. In order for Williamsburg to score, they faked a punt and scored later on in that drive. Nonetheless, Williamsburg was clearly the better team last night. Congrats to the Rams for a great, unexpected season. Many people never thought they may have not even won a district championship. You clearly made that statement early. Then the regional title. I am proud to have watched this season. This season was a season to show people what Ram football is all about. Congrats to the burg. Again, another great defensive game plan against the Rams. You all have one of the best line-backing corp I have seen in all of high school football. They really know how to flow over top and fill the gaps. Congrats again on making it to state again and showing for the East.

Williamsburg was clearly the best team tonight. They played a heck of a game. Congrats to the Yellow Jackets.

Amazing article and I am glad that they did this. I have known Mark since I was little. I used to eat breakfast on the weekend with him and Charlie Longhorn. Charlie was Mark's uncle and was Coach Salmons' great uncle, I believe. Charlie was as close as a family member to me and was a neighbor of mine growing up. I used to run up to Charlie's house every morning, eat breakfast with them, and watch The Price is Right at 11 every weekday. On the weekends, Mark would be there every once in a while and he joined us at breakfast. Mark used to always ask me where I went to school. And I would always tell him Racleand. He then would ask me, "The Rams?? The Rams are the best! Ram basketball is awesome". Of course as a child, I didn't know the difference between Mark and a normal person, but as I reached high school, I realized that Mark is a normal person, with a special heart for Raceland Football. If any Williamsburg fans travel up Friday night, you should stop and talk to Mark. Great guy.

I agree. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Eastern Ky., in my opinion. William Special.....amazing!

They also broadcast the game on ihigh.com. They don't have the best service on there and it goes in and out, the internet that is. I will have to have Ram confirm this, but I do believe that Maynard was offered and declined the chartered buses.
