Home field advantage should lie with the team with the better overall record. Head to head next. District record, region record, class record. Then be determined by records against common opponents. This would encourage games against different region opponents. Score and point spread should be the next tiebreaker (vs common opponents). If all else fails then go to the current system.

After some further information has been obtained, get off Sindelar's back. Instead question the coaching staff for their lackluster performance. I have several sources tellibg me that Barnes demanded plays not be altered at the line (like he had done all season). Barnes should take the rap for this loss, and as far as I see is responsible for the last 2 Caldwell losses. Just hope this does not effect Sindelar and others returning for next year. For an in state game. MAYFIELD at CALDWELL CO. No doubt. 2 undefeated teams. Ranked #1 in their respective divisions. Playing for an undefeated regular season. Both teams go all out and leave nothing in the tank. Lead changes. Ties. Either team could win. Lots of talent on both sides of the ball. OFFENSE.

Sindelar WILL be playing on Saturday if he so chooses. However, he tried to do too much in that game. he tried to force the issue at times. Making "touch" passes that are not his thing. He, and the rest of the team, got tight instead of just letting it happen. Sindelar is a thrower. Just didn't seem to have faith Friday night. But remember he is just a Junior in high school. As far as the clock thing goes, should be mandatory at ALL games, and getting refs to start the clock should be something the KHSAA looks at over the offseason.

It didntt seem to be in game adjustments that made the difference. It was more of the whole game plan imo.

I guess I will take a helping of that crow myself. Congrats to Murray on executing a good game plan. I will be rooting for them next week. Our tigers played another subpar game tonight. They played extremely conservative. I dont know what game some on here were watching, but if you think Caldwell was going for the big plays tonight you havent seen them play this year. Yes, the weather did play a role in this one, but this team didn't get to 12 and 0 running the ball. Very much a pass first team. Twice I can think of we got in the red zone and failed to score. With Sindelar (one of the best qb in the state) and Pepper (6' 8" wr) never even attempted a hook up in those situations. Makes one scratch your head doesn't it. Way too late to change a game plan this time of year.

Finally someone that understands that the Caldwell passing game leads to the big running game. Not to take away from Jaylen's ability, but the holes have to be created somehow. This is not conventional wisdom (running opens up the passing game). Teams have to defend the pass against Caldwell. Too explosive not to, but when they do the running game takes over and Jaylen is one hell of a RB.

Trinity Vs Male DeSales vs CAL - probably more of this game because it could be the next round match up for my team.

Caldwell has a tendency to go for too many home runs. Trying to throw passes 50 yards to make a big impact. If this team is just taking what they are given, they are completely unstoppable. I am in no way saying that if the 50 yard bomb is open, don't take it. I am just saying that take what is open no matter its length. The wide receivers on this team are way to good. Throw them a five yard pass and their YAC will make the 50 you are looking for.
