  1. Hate to hear about Ally. She is tough as nails. All my best to her!
  2. From what I've heard they are trying a few different players because I don't think they want Macy to have to bring the ball up the court, at least all the time. They need her at the 2 or 3 to score. But probably having your most experienced player handling that duty would be a good thing.
  3. Hey, I tried to respond to your message but it shows I have no sent items so I'm trying this because I didn't know if you got the others. Yes I do work for NSR. I am the girls basketball scout for north/north central Ky. I you want to check out the company go to National Scouting Report | College scouting for student athletes. If you have questions or would like to get an evaluation, email me at Dixiefan1@icloud.com and we can make arrangements to talk. Thanks!

  4. And a good scouting service to help the student/athlete and their family every step of the recruiting process- like ..National Scouting Report..sorry had to get a plug in.
  5. I agree with a lot of what you say (except for calling me a liar),But whatever. As far as your comment about the youth program, I would submit to you that last year at least on 2 of the levels they had quality coaches in place. The problem is not finding them in this case, the problem was the "good olé boy" stuff down there. They don't take too kindly to outsiders coming in and taking things over unless they conform to the "program". Why do you think there are problems with the HS and the boosters? Cuz coach won't conform. I could go on and on but frankly I'm tired of thinking about it. I stand by my previous comments.
  6. Dos No harm no foul!! I enjoy the banter on these threads... I do have a question though. . I read all the 8th region threads and the SK thread.. I wonder how Ms Neace will fit in at SK.. she is a good player and I've seen her play quite a few games, and I saw her play AAU ball over the summer..but there may be some jealousy and drama..we are talking about teenage girls you know!! What do you all think?
  7. Whatever man I didn't post to have an argument. .anyway to answer your question, there were 4 freshman, 2 8th graders, 2 7th graders, and a 6th grader . One of the freshman played maybe a minute a game, and was already cut this year, and 2 of the frosh and 1 of the 8th graders saw very limited play time because they were needed for JV, and the 8th grader started Varsity from the 5th game of the season on. Believe me I am not bashing WV.. I think coach C is a great coach..we personally know a few of the girls on the team and think the world of them and their parents. We gave our daughter the option of going to WV.. I just think they will be able to compete with WV for the next few yrs. I think the unknown for this year is what Zoe L contributes coming off the injury. Both teams I think will struggle to find a point guard that consistently get the ball up the floor.
  8. I'm not arguing anything- just that the guys scores were wrong. That's all I said ...why is it you can't post anything on here without somebody getting so defensive? And why are you on the Grant Co. Stream talking about Walton? I didn't go on the WV stream and make excuses for Grant.. but now that you have .. I guess what you posted was true for all 3 games last season? I only remember Luebbe being out for all 3 and the others in the district game..Also remember what the freshman team did to WV last season...
  9. The games with WV were 58-54 AND 61-52 during the regular season. .might want to get your facts right before you correct.. just saying...
  10. Either way it goes it will be a laugher. . This year was supposed to be the year they were ready to compete- 1-6-1 with the lone win coming against Owen Co. Who hasn't won a game this year. They have 3 to 4 decent players but you can't win with 4 on 11. They have little to no support from the school system, the community or the student body. The whole football program from the youth level, to the middle school, is in shambles. Each program does not care to work the other to prepare these kids for the next level. The youth program down there is a a joke with no direction or continuity. The middle school mocks the youth program and the coach has said he doesn't care what they(youth) or the high school programs do because it's his team. Sound like a recipe for success? They just can't seem to get it through their thick heads and ego's that you build a winning program from the bottom up. I think the high school head coach has had to "settle" for the quality of assistant coaches he has because no one wants to go down there. So even though I'm not a big fan of the coach, I can sympathize with him.. He doesn't have a fighting chance. I hate to say it coach but I told you so....
  11. You guys are pretty much right on..It's hard playing in a district with arguably 2 of the top 4 to 5 teams in the region. Last season Grant really didn't compete with SK..but they played 2 tight games with WV during the season and take away 1 QTR of the district game played them tight in that game as well. I think the sleeper factor here is experience.. The current sophomore and junior classes have played a lot more varsity minutes than people think. The reason was the lack of upperclassmen the last few yrs . Also keep an eye on #22 for Grant.. expect them to split season games with WV and would not be surprised if they upset SK . Once the districts start who knows..
  12. Was at this game.. sat and observed Grant fans.(those who didnt leave after the band performed)When it went from being tied at 20 midway through THE 4th QTR to 32-20, there was no emotion..it was like they knew it was going to happen. Feel sorry for the kids but the whole program from the high school on down is an EXERCISE IN FUTILITY.
  13. Still a major accomplishment! What a run they've had.. was it a close game?
  14. That's who I figured. The CCH - Dixie was very close but that was also the game where CCH lost their starting QB and RB. I believe their replacements each had a fumble that resulted in a turnover. But at the same time Dixie had a few turnovers. After last year I will probably be leaning towards Dixie in the match up between the two this year. But this wouldn't be the first Dixie team the lose to a CCH team they should have beat..... You are very correct sir...try being a Dixie grad with 4 brother n laws who played for Cov Cath.. oh my head.....
  15. I totally agree FastForward. .like I said I wasn't comparing the two teams I was just pointing out that in my opinion some of the best talent in the class of 2018 play for those two teams.
  16. No one that i saw on here was boasting or comparing. 1st of all let me state that my daughter plays on the Shining star 8th jones team. In my original post on here I stated that shining star 8th jones has similar talent to legacy elite. I'm sorry if that offends anyone. Secondly, all the arguments of why they played div 2 were answered in my second post on here. They played div 2 because they have 4 new players on the team and unless you are a guru coach, it takes time to mesh as a team with that many new players. That's where I said legacy has the edge. They have had the same group for 3 or 4 years. Remember we are talking about 13-14 yr old girls (at least on this team). We don't have any 15 yr old 8th graders. And as far as being "put on a pedestal along side another team unless they have tied or played head to head", let me clue you in on something. They were invited to play a tournament at Midwest hoops by legacy. After they destroyed legacy's "B" team they were scheduled to play the elite team. The elite team pulled out of the tournament. I am not the spokesman for the team but I know for a fact that all the coaches and players without exception would love the opportunity to play them. This team isn't dodging anyone. This will all probably be a pointless argument next year because I am confident this team will play div 1. Regardless of everything I have nothing but the up most respect for legacy's elite team. The main point I was trying to make was that between the two teams is a lot of the best talent in the 2018 class in Northern Ky.
