On the video broadcast all I could see was a push by Murray, did not see a punch anywhere -

Watching on iHigh, it seems every time that Catholic has a chance to really cut into the lead they have turned it over. -
Well looks like I was right then, I'll take that any time I can get it!:lol2:

Chase Bowling rotated every other series with Brown so I counted him as a starter, a little bit of cheating on my part. In terms of the schedule everyone flips besides the first two games since they were bowl games. I believe Bowling Green will be their opponent for the Bluegrass Bowl, no clue who will be the first game

Good news on the O-line is that the Knights bring back 5 guys who started games last season. I think Woodford Lankford can help add depth as a sophomore, big kid. Replacing David Bouvier at WR isn't going to happen with one kid but I think Donovan Morris, JJ Ogbogu, and Jordan Hatton have the potential to step and make it not too big of a loss. Jaylen Jones coming back from injury, as well as senior to be Carter Grey who averaged 10 ypc last, will ease the loss of 2 D-1 running backs. Everyone knows how good Reese Ryan is, he will have a huge year.

What do the Knights need to do to be successful in 2014?

Clark County 36 Lexington Catholic 6 (JV)
Knights replied to The Scribe's topic in KY Football (High School)
ahh trust me don't put too much stock in LC jv scores. They don't practice for JV at all and every year its mostly freshman. In fact the 2 years before the last 2 Semi State appearances the JV teams were winless. JV receives by far the least amount of attention at LexCath, it seems htat as soon as a freshman or sophomore is good enough to play varsity but not start they play varsity and unlike a lot of teams those players only play Varsity. -
Lafayette vs. Lexington Catholic 9/7 Predictions

Wouldn't say cakewalk but certainly gets a lot easier after playing possibly the 2 top teams in the state back to back weeks. Boyle is the team I could see being a tough game based on how those games always go. -

LC wins because they are much better. I don't think they lose the rest of the regular season. -

Point of my statement wasn't to take away from X but was to respond to the Highlands fan. -

It was 35-28 late in the 3rd. I guess you didn't bother to check the updates. St. X didn't "take their foot off the pedal" at all -

Way I heard it the throw was to the goal line. May have been far out for the run. -

Love that the BlueBirds were able to bring some more national respect to Kentucky. You know you have respect for a program when they end your football career and you're still happy for them. Nothing but good vibes to the Bluebirds. -

I know LC lost but who stood out for the Knights? Hopefully this drubbing prepares them for the rest of the season. -
Knights will put up points even on the stingy Bowling Green D. Will take a great effort by the defense to pull out the win though.

Want to T to win but my pick is Ensworth by 10. I thought they were better than T last season after seeing both teams play in person. The big loss for Ensworth was their back to back Mr. Football and Miami RB signee Corn Elder. But Ferby is very talented and they can rest him with Vanderbilt commit Sheffield, I think thats his name at least, a DB who had offensive talent as well

Ballard 40 Lexington Catholic 30 (Scrimmage)

The line was better than I thought it would be last night so that was pleasing. The secondary needs a lot of work it looks like and so does the kicking game and kickoff coverage. Offense looked like it struggled but still put up 33 points in 3 quarters. Wish the game could have been 4 quarters of varsity play. Ballard will have a very solid team this season. -
He's around 6'3 220 right now

Congrats to LexCath tight end Sam Letton on his first scholarship offer from the Memphis Tigers! Should be the first of many for the big fella who's still only a sophomore. This offer is according to Rivals. I'll make sure to confirm. Sam is for sure one of the top prospects in the 2016 class for Kentucky.

Should be another strong year for the Knights. If they don't win the region this year I'll be very surprised. BGC- First off very good work! But a question, I thought Cody Mitchell would be moving from corner to safety not linebacker, am I mistaken? -

Heard Ryan didn't play the 2nd game because of shoulder pain that had affected his game near the end of day 1 and carried over to this morning. Hopefully nothing serious. -
The good thing about Bowling Green and LexCath is that we find out who is better week 1! Last year I really do feel the Knights beat themselves.

Didn't see much of them. Spent most of my time watching the Knights. I think they went home pretty early in the tournament though.
