Yes very busy Coaching at various topics This class is easy. The students can be a bit thick headed but good people.

There are a LOT of kids both Boys and Girls that have logged hours and time playing AAU at various levels and various sports that are no longer playing basketball (or their sport) for whatever reason. Check out your own comments regarding staying competative on the other forum. Again RCC9 , you put your own spin on the information written. Where did I EVER state "When needed for a win." That is where you are wrong my friend and repeating the previous post to be able to understand developing player development is individualized has nothing and I repeat NOTHING to do with winning a basketball game regardless of level.

Starting is performance based Starting varsity /game specific not eligible for JV. Lesson completed. Test will begin in a few weeks.. Study hard and try to keep facts straight . I hope each student will receive and A on this lesson

Ryle is in Union, not Hebron. FTN's attitude is combative and confrontational, but that is characteristic of the entire program. Win or lose, on Saturday you will know you played Ryle the night before because the game will have been more physical than most, and you will feel the hits the next day.

We noticed that two years ago with playoff games against Station and Scott County. What is it about Lexington area schools and community that they don't support HS football?

Just the length of this post demonstrates it is OK for you to express a view on a topic and IF/When someone deflects or indicates a flaw in your post they can expect a lengthy reply... Really so I will keep it short for you. First going to another aspect of a post would to another in the sports world indicate a acknowledgement of mistaken id. So I will send you an apology for mistaking the person you referred in the section of your post that did NOT address the original question does their success in the past three years indicate success. The answer was so simple . 1. Check this years roster . a) Names the same all three years if 90% of the roster is intact then YES it is PLAUSIBLE to equate some level of success to follow . If the roster is 90% different than the three previous seasons and the change is due in part to MULTIPLE reasons then NO the success is unsure. Apology for miss identifying an athlete. Second ,you didn't get it on the Pro Baseball reference. It is the GLOBAL concept of it not the individual aspects of salaried athletes vs hs athletes. It was referencing the Mental application of that profession to think differently of player development. Again you perseverate on one aspect that cements your view and there is no reasoning or discussing the issue without a tongue lashing. I'd say that is very close. There will be some freshman and 8th grade contributors to Varsity as well.

This score will not be that high. Ryles defense is too good and they will punish you at every opportunity. But their offense, while improving, is not prolific. They are also prone to turning the ball over. A healthy Colin England will be key. Also the Ryle QB will need to be well protected. If England is healthy, I take the Raiders.

The implication here is unacceptable. The defensive reactions from those of us in the SK community is something you have EARNED!

You repeatedly take isolated incidences with no background knowledge then formulate and post elaborate opinions based on no facts. There is no apology for citing that behaviour. The player in question was cut the following year for failing to improve themselves during the summer and being surpassed by younger players. It amazes me RC, that you can take the position of a coach when it suits your agenda, which is usually throwing mud at anything SK, and the position of a disgruntled parent. Can't have it both ways.

Honest answer to which is it "stronger players" playing down or "borderline kids" ? If a Freshman is skilled enough to earn playing time at each of the levels then she becomes a better player because she is actually playing .A sophomore who plays JV and varsity can't play in a Freshman game due to grade level. Whereas a Freshman (or younger , 8th,7th)who is able to play competitively at each of the levels is able to participate in those said Freshman games. It is apples to oranges as to how or why any other team does or Does Not choose to play a player up or down for whatever reason they have for that player. I haven't seen SK's history of deciding weather a certain player or players plays up or down based upon who the opponent will be in a single game or in a tournament. So I am really confused are you commenting everybody should do the exact same thing as school XYand Z just because it feels more fair?? and the use of the words (so technically they are ok) I would ask Does it contribute to success at the highest level of competition in high school ? If one can answer Yes , Then why Not duplicate or attempt to duplicate it like the Baseball reference in my earlier post.

Let's just say your perspective is a VERY one sided view point and making assertions as to the reason she no longer plays basketball(her decision or /the coaches) . Claiming knowledge of most sports ,with the specialty of Softball then figure this out Softball is in the same family as Baseball and Baseball has Pros that move down to their farm leagues for playing time and someone there(Farm league team) gets bumped for a few games and vice versa when a guy gets CALLED UP from minors ,someone in the Majors gets benched . One would need the capacity to understand transferring that system to developing a Basketball program. If one did then one would have No problem moving players around for development.It is evident SK has found a way to transfer Baseball's system to Basketball and it works!!!!!

You are way off base and way out of line here with your insinuation. The player to whom you refer here had made it public where she was going to spend her HS career long before the freshman tournament. This player also participated in the regional tournament with varsity that year. The mother was an alum of the school of choice and it was clear that was where the daughter was going.

Then why was there so much fuss when Fairview had players from WV a couple of years ago? Didn't they get sanctions from KHSAA for stuff that T and X do as a matter of fact?

While SK has experienced much JV success, there will be some players who have not played together a lot. While I believe SK will be very good by the end of the season, they may spend half the season finding themselves. I also would not be surprised if I was wrong and they were very strong right away.

I would guess SK's schedule would have to be considered just because of its proximity to all the region 9 teams. Cov Holy Cross, NDA, NCC, Holmes and Highlands for starters. Boone and Ryle also can have very strong teams on a given year. SK also plays two holiday tournaments where they usually will get a ranked team or two in the latter rounds.
