Dunbar/Mercer County predictions (Sweet 16 1st Round)
I can understand why one would pick Dunbar. But when you say that Mercer has no chance to win against a team that they have been rated above at various times during the year, you lose a little bit of credibility. That's a ridiculous statement. You have gone on and on about Mercer's transfers in another thread. Your axe has to be getting a little dull at this point. Is it possible that you have some history with key folks at Mercer? Oh, and one other question. How do you think that Mercer would do against other 11th region teams? For instance, how would they fare against Franklin County?

Dunbar/Mercer County predictions (Sweet 16 1st Round)
As you like to point out, since Lafayette beat Mercer by 20, this game should be easy for Dunbar. It's convenient for you to disregard the Madison Central score and the result of the Lafayette v Southwest game. As I said before, the result of one game tells you very little. Being a Lafayette fan, you should know this. You lost by 29 to Dunbar in January only to play them to the wire (5 point loss) in your district loss. If Mercer plays like they did in their district (18 point) win over Southwest, they'll be more than fine. If they play like they did against Lafayette, they may lose by triple digits.

Dunbar/Mercer County predictions (Sweet 16 1st Round)
This is a game between two top five teams, both of whom have been ranked #1 at times during the season. Should be a dandy. It depends on who brings their A game.

Dunbar/Mercer County predictions (Sweet 16 1st Round)
Haters gonna hate. Seems like you have an obsession; maybe a little resentment? As was talked about earlier, it swings both ways. As a big guard, he simply doesn't get the body and hand check calls that smaller guards get. Isn't it interesting that no ref can see what you see? This is evidenced by the fact that he hasn't been called for it all year long - 12th region refs or otherwise. But, you can find anything if you're ALWAYS looking for it. Yeah, you're rooting for us. We all believe that.

Dunbar/Mercer County predictions (Sweet 16 1st Round)
Other common opponents were West Jessamine and Woodford. Dunbar beat West Jess by 30. Mercer played them 3 times and beat them by 44, 4 and 18.. Regarding Woodford, Dunbar beat them by 27 and Mercer beat them by 25.

Casey County 60 Boyle County 57 (12th Region Semifinals)
That's correct. I though Stearns was in there too but, point being, those 4 or 5 received the same number of votes.

Casey County 60 Boyle County 57 (12th Region Semifinals)
Dylan James and Jake Smith should've made the list, no question. There are 3 names on that list that they are head and shoulders above. Casey didn't start playing well until the last third of the season. That hurt Smith. As far as James, well, I think the reason for that one goes without saying.

Casey County 60 Boyle County 57 (12th Region Semifinals)
Incorrect on the order of number of votes received. There was about a 5 way tie (through Stearns) after the first one or two.

Casey County 60 Boyle County 57 (12th Region Semifinals)
The biggest difference in this game was Casey's physicality. They were so much stronger than Boyle and used that to their advantage, both inside and out.

Yes, Fitzgerald made the team.

Mink was phenomenal tonight. Played great!

Boyle County/Casey County Predictions (12th Region Semifinals)
BINGO. I just checked Boyle's and Casey's stats. Both of those teams, along with SW and Mercer, have balanced scoring. That's huge IMO.

Mercer County/Southwestern Predictions (12th Region Semifinals)
That game is in SW's backyard and Mercer travels very well. Boyle always travels well, and Casey had a great turnout for their first game. So, I too think that the atmosphere for both games will be great!

Boyle County/Casey County Predictions (12th Region Semifinals)
The winner will likely be the team that dictates the pace. If Boyle's guards take care of the ball like they did against Wayne, I think Boyle will be able to slow it down and get the win. if not, Casey comes out on top. I'll take Boyle by 6.

Mercer County/Southwestern Predictions (12th Region Semifinals)
Mercer by 7. I think the score will be in the 70's.

Dunbar 70 Henry Clay 62
Two top 5 teams. It is unfortunate that one's season is over.

Mercer County/Southwestern Predictions (12th Region Semifinals)
Playing great basketball lol? They lost 3 of their last 4 coming into regional play with their lone win coming against Mcreary Central. I just think that was an interesting comment. But, let me be clear. I'm by no means saying they can't beat Mercer. They are capable of beating any team in the state.

#BACKTOBACK And they're not done....

Mercer County 44 Southwestern 43 (12th Region)
What a battle. Robins has a motor that goes non-stop. No quit in her. She is so quick and relentless. I thought Maddie Bartley was the X factor for Mercer tonight. Tremendous all-around game. Another great kid from a great family!

Dunbar 72 Madison Southern 62 (11th Region Quarterfinals)
Surprised at how close this one was throughout.

Boyle County 78 Wayne County 71 OT (12th Region)
Very impressive win for the Rebels. I thought everyone for Boyle played well, especially Elkins and Slone. Couple of team stats that stand out: Boyle shot 24 FT's to Wayne's 7. Wayne shot 22 threes (while only shooting 32%) to Boyle's 12. That speaks to the discipline and shot selection of the two teams, plain and simple. The times that I've watched Wayne, that seems to be a recurring theme.

Very impressive!
