Not 6'-6". 2 girls at 6'-0" and one girl at 6'-2".

During introductions for RYLE, I heard 6'-0", 6'-0" and 6'-2" and they are long 6 footers. I thought we would get smoked on the boards, but the Lady Camels did an outstanding job on boxing out and defending the post. Seemed like every time the Raiders made a run, the Camels answered with a big bucket. Camels start 3 freshman tonight and it's hard to pick them out because they don't play like freshman. Raiders came out in a 1-2-2 zone defense which was tough because of their length. Camels moved the ball well and was very patient. It kept the game low scoring through the 1st half. Raiders came out of the zone and went to man which was a turning point in the game because the Camels got some easy baskets on backdoor cuts and uncontested 3's from driving and kicking it out. Camels moved the ball extremely well tonight, play a very unselfish game and get a very hard fought win. Refs let them play tonight and never let it get out of hand.(love these type of games) good luck to Ryle. Keep it rolling Lady Camels. Love watching this team play. :thumb:

Kylie does have a broken bone in her hand and her return this year is still up in the air. I'm not a doctor, no clue what bone is broke or how bad. It's not in a cast but in a splint or sometimes a pad for protection. We just have tough girls out here in A-town. Wishing Kylie a speedy recovery, great young lady on and off the court. :thumb:

I don't think anyone from Camelland is saying they are a top team but they are having better than a "decent" year considering how young they are. You have your top 3 in NKY that IMO are notch above the lower 7 teams but as we have seen all year in girls basketball, if any of the top 3 don't bring their A game any of the lower 7 can beat them on any given night. I'm just proud of how this team has overcome adversity of injuries and a coaching carousel. I don't care who this team is playing they expect to win. I'm proud of where they were last year to how far they have come this year. Go camels!!

Sorry to hear that for Maddie. She tried to fight thru it in the CC game but you could tell it was hurting her. She was sobbing trying to to fight thru the pain. Tough young lady.

Congrats Loren. I love her hustle, relentlessness and her passion. Tough, hard nose player who I can guarantee no coach has ever questioned her hustle. Great job young lady, you've earned it. :thumb:

How ever you want to look at it, this Camel team has been able to pull a rabbit out of their hat 17 times this year and played right with every team they faced. I prefer to give credit where credit is due and say they are a very good team that goes hard night in and night out and earned all 17 wins. Great job Camels, you earned my respect and several others. Great group of kids that have bought into the system and have come to understand teamwork goes a lot further than individualism. Teamwork makes the dream work. Go Camels. :thumb:

Nice win for the Lady Camels. These young lady's play hard for this coaching staff and good things happen when they play hard and unselfish. In the prediction thread many were hoping the Camels would just keep this game close and be competitive but the girls stepped up big time in the absence of one of their teammates. I'm proud of the way these girls have fought and clawed all year long. Great job Camels, keep working hard, playing "TEAM" basketball and believing in yourselves. Nice win for the Lady Camels in a very hard fought and extremely physical game. Camels jump out to an early double digit lead and maintain it going in at the half up 33-23. Grant County only had 4 baskets in the 1st half but shot 14-17 from the charity stripe. Camels had a horrendous 3rd quarter scoring 5 points and giving Grant plenty of life. Grant was able to cut it within 2 in the 4th but the Camels were able to pull away at the end and secure a 64-46 win. Nice win lady Camels. One game at a time as we have a tough week ahead with SK and RYLE and finish up with SK again, Cooper and then Holmes before the district showdown with the Mustangs. :thumb:

Lady Camels were hitting on all cylinders from the opening tip and jumped out to a 22-3 lead half way through the 1st quarter and never let up. Led 40-14 at the half. Fast break and back door cuts gave St. Henry fits all game. St. Henry had several baskets rim in and out and couldn't buy a bucket the first half. Some were literally in the cylinder and rolled out. Mckenzie Schwarber with another big game, had a double double and took several charges. Girl is just fun to watch as she is always giving her best effort. Good luck to St. Henry the rest of the way, hope they get healthy for districts. Keep up the great work Camels and keep working hard as a "TEAM" and finish strong. :thumb:

Wasn't Racke hurt in the playoff game against Dixie? Rumor was it was his throwing shoulder. How's is Cam doing?

This was Macy's 2nd game back from injury. Macy and the Johnson girl hit some 3's from the parking lot. Very nice players. I thought the Camels did a pretty good job on defense and ran a good offense, got several back door cuts for easy baskets.

Surprised by the margin of this one. When the birds play tough defense they are as good as anybody. Can't wait to see it all unfold come tournament time.

Fantastic game to watch, went back and forth the entire game. Neither team had a lead of more than 5 points. Very physical game, if you drove the lane you better go strong. Tied at the half and the Camels had a 3 point lead in the 4th quarter as a Panda hit a 3 at the buzzer to send it to OT. (Sorry I didn't get a name or number) Back and forth in OT, tie game with 2 seconds left. Camels ball, under their own basket and Kylie Kramer hits the game winner as time expires. I would like to recognize 2 girls, Jenna Martin from Notre Dame, very nice player who can flat out stroke it from the floor and Mckenzie Schwarber from Campbell County. A blue collar player who did an outstanding job against the Pandas bigs and hit clutch free throws down the stretch. She is always giving up size but makes up for it with heart and hustle. Fun game to watch, I thought Campbell County did a great job of mixing up their defenses and it kept Notre Dame from getting into any rhythm. Free throws were huge down the stretch and the Camels did an outstanding job of matching Notre Dames intensity and really defended Notre Dames bigs well. Best of luck to the Pandas. Read through everyone of my posts, nowhere in any of my posts did I say the officials cost us the game. If the Camels play a bad game I say so and I said that their defense was absent last night. Like it or not if the officials are bad I will say so. Many of my Eagle friends said the same last night. We hold the kids and coaches accountable when they play/coach bad why not the refs? And just for the record I've seen every one of the Camels games and I'm fine with the 10th region officials except the ones I saw for the first time last night.

As I recall coach Kleete was shouting, throwing her arms up and giving the death stare. Both fan bases were not pleased with the officiating and expressed their displeasure. The kids need to adapt to the way refs are calling the game, and neither coach got T'd up last night (How this happened is beyond me) I'm not one to complain about refs but last night was just flat out horrible. I got to the point where I had to laugh about it. When they called a foul late in the 4th and it was the girls 5th foul and the horn goes off for her 5th foul and he holds up 5 fingers to the coach. Coach puts a sub in and then ref decides that the foul wasn't on the girl he called it on and gives it to another one without asking for any help and the girl that fouled out is allowed to renter the game. I'd take the 3 officials we had against Nicholas county any day of the week and twice on Sunday. They let the girls play a physical game and were in control and never let it get out of hand.

Congrats lady eagles on the win. Camels lose 2 district games by a total of 3 points, tough pill to swallow. Can't wait for the districts. We aren't very deep so I knew the lady Camels were in trouble tonight when I heard the whistle blown more than sneaker squeaks. I've seen a lot of basketball over the years and I believe that was the worst crew I have ever seen. 20+ fouls called in the 1st half and had to be over 50 for the game. Scott in the double bonus at 4:47 mark in the 2nd quarter. 3 Camel starters sat 2nd quarter because of fouls and Scott had I believe 2 that were sitting from foul trouble. Bad both ways and just down right awful. Camels defense was absent tonight. This hasn't been the same defensive team I saw in the beginning of the year when every girl was fighting for a spot. Defense is all heart and determination and you play it with your feet not your hands. Better start playing both ends of the floor and adapting to the way officials are calling the game. Ok I am done venting.... Great basketball atmosphere tonight with a great crowd, nail biting game and proceeds going to the cystic fibrosis foundation. To the young lady with CF who gave a heart felt speech at halftime that brought tears to many eyes, you are a very strong and courageous young lady. Keep fighting.

Of course I'll be rooting for the Camels but I agree with Dozer, that this will be a very competitive hard fought game. District game.......say no more.

I have not seen Holy Cross this year except for a scrimmage and I don't put much emphasis on a scrimmage. I have seen Highlands and I will say if u underestimate their defense, you are in for a long night and they rebound very well. I expect a dog fight in this one and I don't see either team winning by much. :thumb:
