I probably shouldn't do this but here are some stats. Madyson Moran (Covingtion Holy Cross) .720 BA 82/59 7 doubles 10 triples 12 home runs (easy could have 5 or 6 more if all games had 200 or 210 foot fences) 64 runs scored 34 stolen bases I said this before also she has her scholarship bc of her defense, so she is one of the better defensive SS's in the state if not the country. That being said I would say HC doens't play near the comp that a school like Bullit East does either but that surely isn't her fault.

Does the player of the year have to both pitch and hit?

I wonder if I could transfer my daughter to NDA this week, wouldn't this be Thacker's 3rd school. I believe Ginn will be a senior are they sure they can make this move.

Was Ryle's coach moved out or did she step down?

I should have said most the top pitchers ate developed before HS if not it is very hard to develop a pitcher. One thing all girls need to being doing more IMO and exp the pitchers is more long toss, one of the best ways to gain arm strength.

Would she need to attend this 8th grade graduation in order for her to move onto the 9th grade? If not it does not have anything to with education. The rest of her 8th grade class does not need her there in order to graduate, her softball team needs her in order to compete at their best.

I would love to see you call any of those lady's "Stocky" to their face. My Guess is there would be no more Lawnboy-away needed.

I have heard the Ginn and Thacker rumors no idea if they are true, if the go to Gallatin how will they like playing 20 games a year and Carroll County 10 times a year.

I am not Randy but yes a lot of schools go with one pitcher. Very very hard to develop more than one pitcher for a high school team. Some like NDA have 2 good pitchers and they may spilt or come close to splitting the innings in the regular season but my guess is they will only use one from here on out. For the most part no worry about arms or pitch counts but some kids react different than others and yes they can pitch every day. I have seen girls pitch upwards of 4 or 5 games on a hot Sat before, not ideal but it happens.

You realize in their only meeting Conner won on a walk off wild pitch after two of the crazier plays ever when HC was batting in the 7th that may have cost us a run. Conner had very few hits in that game and the ones they did should have been caught. But yes Conner is the clear favorite I don't think it will take a colossal meltdown or a game of the year for HC to advance either.

Looking at their schedule looks like the only quailty win was against SK and I think Sk pitched their #2 that game. Lost 12-2 against Bracken so yeah this is a real shocker. Bracken also played 14 more games than Campbell Co so that makes it even more shocking!

We lost to Ryle in the semi's in heart breaking fashion a couple years ago, the finals were going to interfere with their gradutation and they were not happy. I remember thinking screw gradutation if you guys want to go so bad we will play in the finals.

I am confused, who do you have tomorrow? The 9th kicks off tomorrow so we are out, going to be a VERY unproductive day for me at work tomorrow.

Man these other regions are stealing the our thunder, Kidding glad to here the talk. Now onto the important things like the 9th! Can Dixie play with NCC, NCC's pitcher threw a gem last game out does she have another one of those in her and if so can NCC field it clean like they did against Highlands. Dixie just seems to scrap there way through and find ways to be in the games late. I go way back with there pitcher and catcher (great family) but besides that don't know a lot about them. Can Holy Cross finally find a way to get a good win against Conner, last time they played I really felt like HC was the better team just like always found a way to lose. That being said that game was forever ago and Conner seems to be playing much better and they may have taken HC a little light the first time. Holy Cross won't play anywhere near it's best 9 but that can't be an excuse for them bc they play that way almost every game. They need to play their best game of the year on D and hope they can get enough hits against a very tough pitcher. Conner just needs to hit enough to win, seems like their hitting has been coming around, let's hope they have an off day tomorrow.
