  1. Have an 8 lb pork butt on the smoker right now slathered with my special mustard concoction and loaded with dry rub. thinking about only bringing this one up to 180 - 185 and slicing it instead of pulling it. After slicing throwing it on the grill for a couple of minutes to give it a nice chat before eating.
  2. Read articles and seen news reports on the topic recently. London is having a huge issue with immigrants from very different cultures just not assimilating into the society and having a big issue with crime overall.
  3. I'd say probably because of the fact they have been compared to each other for many years in many ways, this is just as another comparison.
  4. Everything I'm hearing is that it's a buyers market big time right now. If that's the case not sure how it can also be a good time to sell? Seems contradictory to me. My mom and dad about 20 years ago was in the same situation and they rented a mobile home at a park for a few months.
  5. Umm, if the above is true, that's not good. Watched them last year against Anderson, and they struggled to say the least.
  6. I'm sure unfettered out of control imigration over several years has nothing to do with it.
  7. You're kidding, right? He had a fine season I'm sure, but you do realize your comment literally states that only one player on this list had a better season than Fitzgerald. In the words of Chris Carter..."Com' on man"! And to be honest, I don't know if there is a player on this list that I would take off in favor of him. I think it's a pretty tight list.
  8. I mowed Tuesday night 4/3 for the first time, back yard was absolutely out of control high, but still wet as a swamp but we had more rain coming that night so I bit the bullet and did it. Had pockets of grass that were probably 10 inches high, and everything was at least 6 inches or more, green, wet and thick as could be. Glad we had the cold mornings/nights Wednesday and Thursday, hopefully stunted the growth a little bit and won't have to mow again anytime soon, give the yard time to dry out hopefully. I did buy a new Poulan push mower with a 6.25 hp Kohler engine on it, local Sears went out of business so bought it on sale while my other mower is on the fritz. Went though that high, thick wet grass like a champ, didn't miss a beat. I was impressed with it.
  9. Wow, that's a LOT of killing going on for a little city in South Eastern KY. Oh, wait...
  10. If a coach isn't trying to get the best players he can get every year, then he isn't doing his job. A player is only recruited "over" if the guy coming in preforms better than him. Don't want to lose playing time to a new recruit? Then be better than he is, period, and make the coach HAVE to play you over him. It's how teams get better.
  11. I really pack it on and use as a flavor enhancer rather than just a binder for the rub. And on a small cut of meat like a tenderloin or a rack of ribs, it really comes thru. Not quite as much on a shoulder/butt, but it does really enhance the bark I think with those. Have not tried my new concoction on a brisket yet, but that's next. May use ground horseradish instead of the creamy, it gives it more "punch" for sure.
  12. Purriad pineapple with juice, Worcestershire (low sodium), chopped garlic, kosher salt.
  13. Probably so and I said it with tongue planted firmly in cheek, but the sentiment is still the same;. YouTube, the bastion of online video in an age where almost everything is videoed now by someone, has a huge news making event happen at their headquarters and no video (yet anyway, very well may be security video out there but that's different). I just think the whole thing is hugely ironic.
  14. Not sure how they could retroactively add that? Seems sticky to me.
  15. My understanding is when you get to the pro leagues in basketball you had pretty much better be self-motivated and work on developing yourself as opposed to getting developed by the coaches/organization. If that truly is the case I would say 90-plus percent of the kids who might be talented enough to dip into the G league out of highschool would be better served going the college route.
  16. Has he developed a motor and offensive game? I don't watch Louisville enough to know, but was unimpressed with both of those areas in highschool.
  17. A guy here in the office says he was watching one of the local weather stations last night, not sure which one, and the weather guy made a comment that the snowfall record for April in this area is 4 inches and that we would be breaking that this weekend.
  18. Grilled a bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin Monday night. Was going to smoke it but didn't think I'd get it done in time for the championship game so decided to grill it. It was wonderfully delicious. I have hit on a mustard concoction that I really like as a base for my spice dry rub, that consists of two types of mustard, creamy horseradish, a Kroger brand basting sauce and turbinado sugar all mixed together. My gosh is it delicious.
  19. Does anyone else find it ironic that this happened at YouTube headquarters, yet no video of the incident can be found on YouTube? Not making light of a serious situation and I hope those injured recover fully, but in the day and age we live in, the situation kind of is the definition of irony.
  20. Wait, a gun toting vegan? Now I've heard it all.
  21. Have any of you ever actually seen Duel? Probably the most suspenseful movie ever for as cheap as it was made with essentially one actor. It might not make many, if any top 5 lists, but it should be FAR from the bottom.
  22. Yum...it that's near Dunnville then yes I have been there. And yes eat there if in that area.
  23. I guess its like taking a Carolina boy like myself, putting him in central CA and calling what was essentially a sloppy joe barbeque. I was like...what the heck!? That was a rude culinary awaking for me. I give Cincy style chili a hard time mostly just ribbing NKY folks, it's not horrible and I enjoy a good Coney every now and then, but I definitely don't get the fascination with it.
