Open Job: Muhlenberg County
I'm still waiting to hear from Cobra his reasoning on what makes MC a top 10-12 job in the state. By the way, agree completely with your reasoning/thoughts.

Not only that, but Cobra said his personal top 10-12. I don't see that at all and have to wonder upon what that belief is built upon.:idunno:

Anderson County 9 Spencer County 4
Buddy of mine drove by the field this morning and said no standing water, he's thinking if it quits raining sometime soon they can get on the field and work it and push start time for game back to about 8:00. But I think that might be wishful thinking.

To be fair, looks like it's going to be raining...and we are under a tornado watch right now as well.

Well, no sooner did I post this I got a phone call telling me they have cancelled tonight's games due to impending storms/rain and was told makeup game 6:00 Thursday night. So maybe Collins doesn't have graduation tomorrow?

They haven't called it yet. It's pretty wet at work here in Frankfort and calling for possible storms and more rain starting around 3:00. Was told just a little bit ago they are going to try everything they can to play it, but if it's raining not much they can do. I heard Collins has graduation tomorrow night so Friday would be the makeup date I am guessing.

We were trying. Didn't you hear us hollering from the cheap seats to get that 10th run? From what I heard though, the Collins/Shelby game was INTENSE and took quite a while to play.

2017/2018 8th Region
There was talk about that several weeks ago...nothing anybody knew anything about just thinking/wishing out loud. We will see what happens but if I had to guess I think he stays a Titan next year. By the way, LOVE that kid and his younger brother too. Great kids.

Any specific reason why they wouldn't be? I was at Murray the same time with Coach Cross in the early 90's (before he started coaching). We weren't friends by any means, just knew each other through pick up games in the old North gym. Always seemed like a decent enough guy, and he seemed to have had some success with the girls program there at Murray, at least as much as anyone has, and more than most. Appears to me, at least on the surface most high schools would have at least some sort of interest in someone with DI head coaching experience, at least enough to give an interview if the coach is interested. Of course this is from an outsider looking in.

Grilling and smoking thread
Almost bought me one of those a few weeks ago but didn't, may need to go back and get one. Does it come with 4 probes or do you have to by some separately?

That's what I normally do but I didn't have access to my computer at the time. By the way, what brand of temp gage are you using? And I am assuming you can leave that in as it's cooking? I am in the market for something like that.

I smoked 8 chicken quarters and a rack of ribs last night. Took a picture but was too big to upload and could not figure out how to resize on my phone. Turned out just extremely delicious. Did something a little different with the ribs... I added a teaspoon of horseradish to the mustard before I rubbed it on the ribs and then placed my dry rub. Oh man was it good.

Also made a Carolina style vinegar bbq sauce this weekend. If you like tangy sweet and peppery, this is for you. 2 cups apple cider vinegar 2 cups white vinegar 4 cups water 1 small can plain tomato paste On stove bring to a hard simmer, add, to taste: 2/3 cups + a little more white sugar kosher salt black pepper onion powder garlic powder dry mustard powder sriracha sauce honey lemon juice This is a very tangy sauce that you can crank up the heat level on depending how much sriracha sauce (or favorite hot sauce) you use in it. Very very good on pulled pork. This recipe made 5 condiment squeeze bottles worth. That's quite a bit of sauce. You can half the recipe and get a couple of bottles out of it. Add spices and taste as you go to get it to the level you want. If you like a Carolina style sauce I think you will like this recipe.

Smoking this past weekend (4/29). Smoked 2 smallish pork sirloin roasts (never even heard of that until I bought these) then pulled them. Smoked some chicken quarters that turned out just beautiful. The pulled pork might have had the best bark on it I ever tasted.

Grilling and smoking thread
Last 2 shoulders I did one took 12 hours and the other 15, same size same cook temp. The second one just didn't want to come up to temp to pull it.
-
Grilling and smoking thread
How hot did you smoke it? Must have been pretty hot to get it 200 deg internal in 6 1/2 hours.

Grilling and smoking thread
How did it turn out? Last shoulder I did took 15 hours to get to the proper temp for pulled pork, it was just stubborn and did not want to get to temp. If you aren't pulling it you don't have to get the temp as high.

Grilling and smoking thread
Got to get this thread revved back up guys. I have been doing quite a bit of smoking on my new electric smoker (no longer looks new at all) and have been turning out some exceptional food. Have done a couple of pork shoulders/butts for pulled pork and oh my. Last one I did took over to my buddies house to watch the UK/UNC tournament game and his teenage son scarfed down 3 huge bbq sandwiches and now asks for bbq all the time. His dad told me they went out to eat the other night and his son ordered bbq and his reaction was "this isn't as good as Danny's".:lol2: Smoked 10 chicken legs and a pork tenderloin Saturday and took it all with me to my buddies house for poker night. Between the 5 of us and the odd wife/kid here and there it was devoured. Thinking of getting another pork shoulder and doing some more pulled pork here soon.

KY Kids Playing For Indiana Elite
Why is this? Why does KY not have a program to compete with this and keep the in state talent in state for AAU ball in stead of going to an out of state program?
