It might take them a few years, but I'm sure if it did bother them, they will eventually get over it and potentially look back and say, "we played a game at the defending state champs and got blown out.... loll" For example, at the Holmes' alumni night last year I remember hearing a couple of the guys talk and LAUGH about how they had to guard Scott Draud... and braggishly saying they "held him to 40 points." The fact that the Colonel Crazies weren't there would have been a disappointment for me... that's the best part of a game at CovCath. I've been taking my boys to games there since they were little, just to watch the crazies in action. Always a fun time. Another example, at the St. Henry game this year, right after halftime, when the St. Henry player was taking the ball out at half court, right in front of the crazies screaming at him... it was fun to watch his face... trying his best not to smile from ear-to-ear.

Not exactly sure what this even means... never heard it used before.... but you better believe I'm gonna start using it!

1.) Most of us don't understand the situation... whatever that even means. I'm guessing there were some personality conflicts? Whatever the reason, McDonald played against a higher level of competition over the summer... unless you can make the case that the AAU circuit is superior to the EYBL? 2.) "Skill wise" I think Drew is definitely in the conversation. In fact, I would argue that Drew's "skill set" is better. Now, if you want to compare athleticism, then Spalding wins hands down! It's Drew's skill set that has gotten him to where he is... not many big men have his low post moves, his outside shooting ability, nor his great passing skills.

I saw him play a few times over the summer. He is a heck of a player for sure, but I think his decision over the summer to opt out of playing in the EYBL, against way better competition, is part of what is causing some doubt about his "fire." Drew McDonald did play in the EYBL for the summer and did more than hold his own against the best big men in the country. Drew is not flashy, but he gets the job done night in and night out. I'm sure that Walter could provide some of the names of the big men McDonald played against, and what his stats were compared to theirs.

I wish my son could have played at CovCath for one game in his HS career.. even if it were a beatdown. Would make a great memory for the rest of his life.

CovCath will win by whatever they want. CovCath does an excellent job applying defensive pressure... and Campbell County is not good with pressure... BLOWOUT CITY.
