Wonder where the 10th region people would rank the 10th as far as region's goes this year? I would think they are #14 ,15 out of 16? who would you want to draw if your a 10th region winner?

Would someone from the 9th region area give us their top 5 in the 9th this season. I am sticking with my 1-8, after that I didnt know Mercy had a major injury that stinks for her. Henderson had a great team last year/injury's killed them late in the year, didnt know what they lost off that team. I was going off last years team, Male making the final 4 and losing no pieces is why I put them there. They are big and quick, have a great shooter. I do think you can put Etown at #1 pretty easy as well, Boley is special. Dont think that Bullitt East has the size to beat them, they have a great player in Duvall just not enough. Butler can strategize and beat them, as a matter of fact I think they beat them this summer, not sure on that. Eastern is loaded as well, especially with the transfers,

I think so, last year Shelby beat Male, Simon had some great wins as well, its all about the draw at the state tourney, we all know that, E-town had the best team last year and didnt win it so who knows on any given night. There is some very good talent in our state and some very good coaches. The LIT for girls is a good gauge of where teams are in my opinion. Who is in the Lex Cath tourney this year?

Not so fast, about being the #4 seed, its a strong district and anyone can lose to anybody, in my opinion

First of all Blue and Black, I am glad you support the Titans, but to say Conder doesnt know anything about basketball is wrong. You better hope your new coach knows some basketball then, Spencer is much better and I could see them being the #4 seed, the Titans are young, Fedderle (Spelling) is a nice player, Pullen and Roberts have a chance at all region maybe. The are not better than Williamstown just a fact, as they have 2 legitimate all region players. Improving all year is a must for the Titans, but remember that Shelby/Spencer/Anderson all have young talent, strong district, should make for an intersting tourney. Conder did a great job for Collins last year with their growth process and moved onto greater and better things for him.

If you read the post that is why I asked people to add some teams, I have no idea what the 9th region lost except for Holy Cross, only top 10 team I think for sure is Holmes though against my original top 10, Highlands had a great team last year, dont know what they lost, and I heard Ryle should be good,

Sacred Heart, Murray, Graves, Southwestern, Simon, Shelby, Mason, Campbell, Ashland, East Carter, Henry Clay, all in can be there by the end of the season, I am sure there are more, just naming some strong teams, please someone else add what I am leaving out, have to be someone is Allen Co Scottsville region to come on, Harlan Ind,

Lost 3 games all of last season, all 3 to state champion, only lost 1 player, they are really good

What about Franklins passing game? Most of their passes seem to be a picth/forward pitch which counts as a pass...Both teams are good at what they do, that is why I think it comes down to T/O and who can get stops on defense.

Run a ton of offense and it is suited for them, solid coaching staff that works well together, a POY candidate in Ison. They are in the mix for winning the region. Their district 1st round game could be Williamstown and would make a great elimination game. They could play W-twon 4 times this year, both have great guards and that is what wins at tourney time in my opinion.

Triple sevens you are correct, 20 games against competition would be different. Looking at their schedule they didnt play anyone last season outside of their district really. W-town plays Simon, Walton twice each, and maybe again in the ALL A with Trimble Co. That All A could be fun to watch, anyone know the draw for the girls and where it is held?

Not really alot to tell about it other than QB makes good decisions, it is defintely set up by their run, YAC is big for them especially in the flats

Who won that 7 on 7 game? I know it doesnt have alot of stock, but no one is mentioning the passing game for Shelby. It can sneak up on you. If Shelby wins, they will have no T/O's and their defense stopped the run. If Franklin wins they have scored on big plays, and they stopped the run. Should be a great game. I think an underlying factor will be QB play for the Flyers, can Shelby get pressure with their front 4?

Saw several of the teams play this summer, and this region could be pretty balanced when you talk about top teams 1-8. Was impressed with Williamstown after not seeing them at all last year, that district will be a war. When you look at the districts the 32nd will have 3 strong teams, walton, w-town, and Simon of course, 30th has 4 teams that will improve as the year goes on, and should all be competitive towards the end of the season, Collins and Spencer have some good young talent and should get tons better as the years goes on. Anderson and Shelby should be the favorite. Love Currens as she will lead the Bearcats, but they have some good pieces around her and the system is in place. Shelby has Martin who probably is POY in my opinion after seeing her in AAU with the Premier, Madison Todd will be a top 5 player in the region, and their PG Zephy Gray will shock some people. However I think we overlook the 29th, Trimble has a really good starting 5, hard to win 3 at a regional tourney, however that first round game for someone, look out, and they will win that district. 2 of the Oldham's will have new coaches, new kids, look for North maybe to sneak into tourney. Gallatin still the favorite in their district BUT new coach, Holly was great on the sideline so they are questionable, with Henry, Carroll, and Owen all improving, I saw Owen and thought they had got alot better. Should be alot of good basketball this season. Region is at Shelby, making it alot more interesting.

Shelby wins a close one, and I am gonna say the kicking game of Shelby gets it done, kid has an incredible leg, 21-20.

Shelby didn't cancel, screw up in scheduling. If you are the away team in the district game then you host the JV game, Franklin thought they were hosting.

The district is really good, All the teams are dangerous.

Whoa, calm down now, Shelby County has some speed of their own, 3 RB's that have different strengths, it takes a man to tackle Manica. Franklin may win but saying they'll be 5-5 might be a stretch. Turnovers and penalty's will be the key Friday.

One of the reasons Brad is one of the best, he doesn't care about wins and losses, just winning at the right time, and making them into fine young men.. Scott will be dangerous come tourney time

Eastern is not a surprise team, they were #2 before the transfer, still #2 , unfortunately Male probably pre-season #1 in the state

Districts at Paris? 8th region will be fun, hand full of teams could win it

Holy Cross has hired Craig Jefferson, I have been told.. He was an assistant at Louisville Butler. If its true I am glad for Craig! Paid his dues and will do an outstanding job.
