A parent or two?? We were laughing in the stands in 2013 - 22 men wearing the then-traditional shirt and tie vs. Cooper. Twenty-two!! (We had ten - but we did have to beef that up in 2014 to get the field properly watered down.) At least 8 that I know personally had a kid on the Raider roster. That's more than a third. I'm not talking chains. We do have a dad or two (or a alum dad or two) working those, as do most schools, I'd wager. I daresay you lost a good number of those to graduation, but maybe it was the regime change. But don't come at us like he cleaned house and eliminated the problem all together. And btw, who was your nose guard most of the year? When you played Cooper, it was a coach's kid.

So the Rabes won't be wearing headsets this year and Perron won't be coaching the line? Do they know that??

The quotes about choosing Ryle for academics ring hollow as it's not even the best school in Boone Co. anymore for that, much less the likes of Beechwood, Highlands, etc.

It does make SENSE if you don't play down every year like Some teams i Know. We are playing Highlands, but hey, they're Highlands. And yes, we play NCC but that is Borchers' alma mater and they've been to State like how many times lately?? I guess we could have scheduled a local 4A team instead, like the 'Neers have done.

Boone County leadership wanted all four schools in the same District and submitted a proposal as such. What no one anticipated was that another proposal (reportedly by Campbell County's coach) would be adopted instead, creating TWO 6A districts for the six NKY teams. Can we put this one to bed now?? Much ado about nothing.

Goodness, no!! That is not what I was saying AT ALL!! What I'm saying is, Cooper was soooo afraid of winning the close game against the Camels that they started injurying themselves ON PURPOSE! And then, the Jags were literally threatening to quit the team if Coach made them play against SK - I mean, they were soooo intimidated. We literally could not get a single back-up to go into the game, we were using 7th and 8th graders instead because they just didn't know any better. Oy vey!!!

In other words, Cooper went 2-2, right? And lost key players right before and during the Campbell Co. game and were still banged up (down 6 starters on D) for the SK game. Keep typin'.....

Conspiracy theorists unite!! Let's review: What ONE THING do Conner and Cooper have in common? Who/what is the decision-maker here? No one can argue that Conner and Cooper are on the same track right now. Football is a cyclical game and Conner is not exactly on the rise, so YES - WHY WOULD THEY VOLUNTARILY MOVE UP?? Because it was not voluntary. For them or Cooper. The decision was made outside the AD's offices. Happy now??

Other than the final in 2014, where is Dixie in the semi-final round in or after 2010??

There was only one opening on the D-line that I know of....doesn't mean a big, athletic kid can't earn a spot. Cooper just isn't losing much to graduation. If the few boys who missed the season last year due to injury return and stay healthy, there are very few opportunities on either line and the defense overall. QB is a question mark, but I'm confident Borchers will find the best option to put under center. TCA has nothing to prove after last year, but he has only gotten bigger, faster and stronger. May need one more solid set of hands out wide. Will miss the punter perhaps most of all from all the graduates. Defense will be our bread and butter again, IMO. Solid unit, play together well, need to avoid injury.
