Actually I love the game.Dedicated over 30 years to coaching and scouting.Just stated the obvious.Cant beleive a coach would stack a team to win a freshman tournement and if he does than I think its pretty pathetic.And yes freshman baseball is very hard to watch unless your a parent of one of the players just like womans basketball....agree or disaree its the truth

I agree Dixie will run rule Ludlow.I do however think the Lloyd- St. Henry game will be worth watching.Kuebbing vs Brown.I give the edge to ST.Henry I think Kuebbing will be too much for them but I can see a good game.

You make a great point about being a 6 a school.I wasnt belittleing the game the young man pitched against Lloyd.His name escapes me but he threw a good game.My point was its not very often the 2 players I mention will have those types of games and I think Dixie is very fortunate to win that game.

I was at both the games you mentioned.They didnt give the game to St. Henry what happened is Lacorte started and struggeled and they brought in Kuebbing who was lights out.The Lloyd game Dixie really got lucky when the 2 best players in the district had the worst games of their life.Brown pitched bad hitting 5 batters and walking 3 and Stevens left 8 runners onbase and struck out twice against a very average pitcher.My opinion St. Henry is the best and Lloyd a close second.

Not even close.Dixie is very weak on pitching this year.The 2 best pitchers in the district are Kuebbing fron St. Henry and Brown from Lloyd.That will be a great game to watch.I hope Brown is at his best the last 2 times ive seen him he has not preformed very well.

Dixie will for sure make it out.All they have to do is beat Ludlow.They really got lucky by the tie breaker in the 34th.St. Henry and Lloyd are the best 2 teams in the district by far.

I agree those are the top teams but I think you forgot Dixie.Dixie is the third best team in that district but by the luck of a tie breaker will get to play Ludlow and the 2 best teams will have to play each other in St. Henry and Lloyd.I give the edge to St. Henry they have the best pitcher in the region in Kuebbing.

Opinion noted sir.Perhaps choke was the wrong word.Im from a era when things were different.Wasnt all this coddelling of kids.Im a fan of the Bobby Knight and Sweet Lou Pinellas style of coaching.I do however agree with you this should be a great tournemant and im looking forward to it....

I really dont see any problem with stating the obvious.The Ryle Baseball team has in the past few years had the best team in regionals and for whatever reason in a big game cant get it done.Im sorry if your little Johnny plays for Ryle and I hurt his feelings.And by the way we arent talking about 7 year old boys here we are taliking about 17 and 18 year old men.And I called no one out by name so get over it....

First of all I said the TEAM has a history of choking.Didnt say a kid was a choker.But if this makes you feel better.Ryle as a team has a history of not preforming in a big game.Is that more politically correct for you?? lol

I'm going with NCC.They know how to win the big game.Cain is a big game pitcher and always seems to come through.Ryle looks good on paper but they choke every year and I dont think this year will be any different.

I have seen every team in the regions best pitcher at least one time some twice.I will say I expected a lot more from Cooper this year.I had them my pre season favorite in that district.Not sure what happened there.Without a doubt the 5 I listed above are the cream of the crop but as I said its a weak crop this year.

If you read my whole quote.You will see I am as suprised as anyone.I had him LAST YEAR 82-84.I wrote that early this year based on those numbers.I caught him in the Dixie game 85-87 so he picked up 3-4 mph from his Junior year to his senior year.

I agree, all of those names are very servicable pitchers.My point is the region is full of average pitchers other than Kuebbing there is not that stud pitcher that can shut a team down.I have to say I was not a fan of Kuebbing before the year.But after seeing him 3 times this year there is no doubt he is D1 quality.I got his fastabll consistanlly in the high 80s and he has a curve ball that makes good hitters look very bad.I would take him in a 1 game situation over anyone in the region.

I have to say I did not know the young man that pitched for Dixie yesterday but I was impressed with what he did.He does not have overpowering stuff but located the ball well and made a big pitch when needed.He made the Stevens kid look bad on 2 strikeouts that he painted the corner with bases loaded. Good jod.

Score should have been lot worse than it was.Dixie ran themselves out of at least 4 more runs with really poor baserunning.Stevens had a really bad game I think 0-3 and I know he left a ton of runners in scoring positon.I think Brown had 2 hits including a shot that I thought was going out and I think a few in the bottom of the order had a couple hits.Brown didnt have his usual good stuff definatlly not good enough to win but Lloyd played a bad game including a sac bunt that ended up scoreing 2 runs and a flyball that should have been caught that ended up being a double.

The kid from Dixie pitched a good game.I was expecting a much better game.Dixies baserunning was horible!!!Lloyd left 15 men on base and did not hit the ball at all.Brown struggled with command hitting 5 batters and walking 3 and Dixe hit the ball very hard.This game was frankly a disappointment to watch.Big kuddos to coach on his 600th win!!!!!

Good kid and great player good luck you him and his family.Mount St Jo is getting a quality young man.

I was there.I have no dog in the fight either way.The ball was NO DOUBT FOUL.It was a nice shot though and in the books its a hr.But in reality it was a long strike that 2 umpires missed the call on.
