Final from Fleming-Neon gym. Letcher Central was up 65-63 with ball with 38 seconds left. Hazard got a tie up which gave them them the ball and of course Seth Caudill doing what Seth Caudill does and ties the game with an acrobat layup. Very next possession Letcher Central turns it over again. Seth Caudill as time runs out throws it up from 3 with 2 Letcher defenders on him and gets it to go in at the horn for thr 68-65 Bulldog win. Hazard closes the game on an 8-0 run.

Hazard is picking up steam having won 6 of they're last 7 but that lone loss was to Coach Huff's old team, Knott County Central last week. Final from Irvine. Tremendous back and forth game. Clutch steal led to a lay up for Estill which gave them a 62-61 lead. Estill came away with another steal and got fouled. Made both Free throws. Breathitt turned it over with 4.1 seconds left. Estill would miss the two free throw attempts that would have put them up 66-61 but both free throws missed and Breathitt full court sling was way off. These two will meet again on Tuesday in Jackson.

Weekly Notes: Wolfe County got revenge against Powell County from an earlier season defeat 104-63 to defeat the Pirates 69-66. Powell County, despite the loss to Wolfe County, picked up two big wins last week, defeating Owsley County 84-62 to improve to 2-0 in district play. Pirates also defeated 13th Region's own, Harlan County 86-67 in the Bobby Keith Classic at Clay County. Knott County Central picked up two wins this past week, defeating, Letcher County Central 61-58 in overtime and June Buchanan 65-34. The Patriots fell to Perry County Central 64-54. Perry County Central went 3-1 last week, picking up wins over Buckhorn 69-43, Floyd Central 64-46 and Knott County Central 64-54. The loss came to Clay County 72-65. Breathitt County continues to play really really well. Don't let a 11-6 fool you, the Bobcats will be a tough out come post season time. Leslie County split two games last week, falling to district foe, Hazard 64-41 but defeating Estill County 74-60.
