14th Region: Week 7

Weekly Notes:

Wolfe County got revenge against Powell County from an earlier season defeat 104-63 to defeat the Pirates 69-66. 

Powell County, despite the loss to Wolfe County, picked up two big wins last week, defeating Owsley County 84-62 to improve to 2-0 in district play. Pirates also defeated 13th Region's own, Harlan County 86-67 in the Bobby Keith Classic at Clay County.

Knott County Central picked up two wins this past week, defeating, Letcher County Central 61-58 in overtime and June Buchanan 65-34. The Patriots fell to Perry County Central 64-54.

Perry County Central went 3-1 last week, picking up wins over Buckhorn 69-43, Floyd Central 64-46 and Knott County Central 64-54. The loss came to Clay County 72-65.

Breathitt County continues to play really really well. Don't let a 11-6 fool you, the Bobcats will be a tough out come post season time.

Leslie County split two games last week, falling to district foe, Hazard 64-41 but defeating Estill County 74-60.

Perry County Central had a rough start to the season but seem to be picking up steam, having won 5 of they're last 6 games.

After 3 straight losses at the end of December and beginning of January, the Hazard Bulldogs have since gone 3-1 in they're last 4 games.

Letcher County Central has now dropped three straight games, after dropping both games last week.
