I know because Barnhardt is too inlove with Cal to get rid of him. I'm just as tired of the same ole blah blah blah that comes out of Cal's mouth and every year we're always sent home early, as the next person. We haven't won an SEC Championship in 6 years.

Thursday afternoon at 1:30 PM Butler County comes in 23-8 winners of 6 straight out of the 3rd region. Evangel Christian comes in 29-6 winners of 7 straight out of the 6th region.

Thursday night 8:30 PM Newport comes in 32-3, winners of 24 straight out of the 9th region. Newport has yet to lose in 2024. Campbell County comes in 26-6 winners of 12 straight out of the 10th region.

Wednesday 6 PM. Adair County comes in at 28-7 winners of 3 straight out of the 5th region. Marshall County comes in at 25-7 winners of 7 straight out of the 1st region

Thursday 6 PM Pulaski county comes in at 23-10 and winners of 3 straight out of the 12th region. Trinity (Louisville) comes in 26-7 and winnners 5 straight out of the 7th region

Game 2 from Rupp Arena on Wednesday at 130. Ashland will look to slow down UK commit Travis Perry and the Lions while the Lions will look to advance to the elite 8.

First game on Wednesday from Rupp Arena. 11 am. Magoffin County first ever trip. This is Perry Central’s 2nd trip in 3 years. These two met earlier in the season with Perry coming out on top 78-73.

Nickname: Commodores Location: Hazard Head Coach: Shannon Hoskins For the 3rd straight year, the Commodores seen themselves fighting for a regional championship, last year they came up just short as they fell to Breathitt County. This season was the same scenario except this go around, it would be the Commodores getting the best of the Bobcats. Perry County Central won the region back in the 21-22' season, where they defeated Estill County 64-46. This region championship makes Perry County Central's 6th since per KHSAA Scoreboard. Let's see how the Commodores got here. They struggled all season long in fact, they were 18-12 going into the post season district tournament. Perry County Central would finish runner up in the 54th district, falling to Hazard. Perry County Central would take they're frustrations out on region host, Powell County, cruising past the Pirates 77-62. Perry County Central would advance on to the regional semi-final against Knott County Central, defeating the Patriots 59-54, which would advance them to the regional championship game against none other than Breathitt County Bobcats. Perry County Central jumped out to a big lead but had to weather the storm that was Breathitt's comeback bid. Perry County Central would be able to seal it late by making free-throws to seal the win, 62-55. With the win, it runs the Commodores win streak to 3 straight and they have won 7 of they're last 9 games. Commodores are lead by two juniors in Trayten Woods and Carter Castle along with senior Kizer Slone who all average 15 points a game. State Tournament Game Preview: Who: Magoffin County Hornets (15th Region Champions) When: Wednesday March 20th. Where: Rupp Arena, Lexington KY Time: 11 am These two actually met at the beginning of the season at Hazard in the DJ Begley Classic. Perry County Central would edge out the Hornets 78-73. Magoffin county comes in at 21-13 and are red hot, winning 4 straight and 10 of they're last 12 games. The 14th Region hasn't made it out of the first round of the state tournament since the 16-17' season and who was it? None other than, Perry County Central. This is the first ever trip for the Hornets so they will do everything they can to make it to the second round and even further. The Bad news? The winner will get one of the following: Simon Kenton vs. Walton Verona/Spencer County (8th Region) or Lexington Catholic (32-2)/Great Crossing (33-1) in the second round. Talk about a rough second round opponent.

Final from Powell County. Commodores knock off defending 14th region champions Breathitt County

Monday night in Stanton, to see who makes it to Rupp! Will The Bobcats repeat as region champions or will the underdog, who's struggled all season come out and surprise everyone? Breathitt County won the only matchup of the season, winning 79-64 at Perry County Central. Bobcats have won 3 straight and 4 of they're last 5 games. Perry Central has won 2 straight and 5 of they're last 6.

Final from Irvine on Saturday night. Lady Engineers had right around a 15 point lead and owned the first half but fell apart in the 3Q. Lady Engineers spent over half of the season without they're leading scorer Jayci Long. Estill should be fine next season with who all they return. First time in program history that the Lady Owls are region champions. Big win for the Ladies in Maroon and the town of Booneville. Congratulations to Owsley County and couldn't be any happier for my buddy @The Professor Well deserved.
