44th District Draw was done today. 

 

Madison Central vs.. Madison Southern. 

Berea vs.. Model. 

 

Pretty sure this is the same draw the girls got too. 

Is this the most lopsided district in the state?   Has Madison Central ever not advanced to the regional tournament?

I'm just taking a guess, but my answers are yes and no.

Why does this district still draw, instead of seeding it?

Any vote to change from draw to seed has to be by a majority. Berea and Model will never vote for it, so no matter what Madison Southern wants, it will always be 2-2

Central last missed the region tournament in 1985 when they lost to the old Madison High in the district. Berea beat Model in the other semifinal that year and Madison then beat Berea by 9 in the championship game. Both lost in the first round of the region, Madison to Bryan Station and Berea to Tates Creek.
