You would steal up 9-0? Whatever happened to sportsmanship. I'm not from this area so I guess I grew up in a different culture. Where I come from we remember crap like going for 2 to try and humiliate an opponent or stealing up 9-0. Brews bad blood and sticks in your craw. But whatever. I'm all for going for the jugular but I also show good sportsmanship. If you run up the score, so be it. But deliberately going for a running clock, especially more than once, is spitting in your opponents face. I would remember it.

Definitely not running up the score. Could have been in the 60's, I don't know. But clocking someone is not the way to intentionally end a game, especially going for 2 to do it. This may be sour grapes. Running clocks happen all the time. But making it obvious that is what you are trying to do in a game that is obviously over is classless and you'll never convince me otherwise. I wouldn't forget this if i were coaching the Panthers. Definite bulletin board material for the future.

Lost a lot of respect for the Walton program last night. Before now, I thought it had been a decent rivalry between these two schools. Walton's kicker hadn't missed an extra point attempt all night but when Walton scored to go up by 34 late in the 3rd quarter they went for 2 to try and get the running clock. They ran the ball down Carroll's throat all night with their running game. They had less than 10 passing attempts all night but with a 40-7 lead early in the 4th period they throw a 45 yard td pass and finally got their wish. Walton is a decent team. They will win this weak little district and draw probably Newport in the first round of the playoffs. They should win that game but enjoy it while you can Bearcat fans. Nothing against your kids. They seemed like they were pretty classy. I just hope your classless coach is there long enough to realize what goes around comes around.

Carroll Co 27-26

It was wet for both teams but Carroll just couldn't get anything going, offense and defense. Hats off to Bellevue. They dominated the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

Rediculous. Carroll in a close one 27-25.

Carroll was down 14-0 in the first quarter and then went on a 34-7 run to finish the game. CCHS improving every week. 2-2 but thisclose to being 4-0. Should be ready for district play and be a factor. KCD is a good 1A team and should play a few weeks in the playoffs.

The tiny mountain school hosted the mighty Blue Devils and pulled off the monumental upset. EC was pretty good back in those days and lost in the semi finals to eventual champion Ludlow. But what a great game it was with Henry Clay and what an accomplishment for that little school.

Great defensive battle. Carroll's offense really needs to work the bugs out. Still plenty of time and they are playing some good defense. Hopefully they can get it in gear this week before the season slips away from them. The next 4 games will define how the season goes.
