  1. For what it's worth, I noticed that St. Henry lowered the price on the Friday night freshman double header from $5 to $3 back to 2012 prices. Varsity games and double/triple headers remain at $5. No charge to park.
  2. St. Henry was up 2-0 with 23 minutes to go. Trinity came roaring back. Kevin Cawley the keeper for St. Henry played a fantastic game. I couldn't count all of the hard shots by Trinity that he saved but the law of averages caught up with him. St. Henry goals by Lannon and Eibel. I'm not sure who scored all of the Trinity goals but numbers 26 and 10 up front were outstanding. It was like thunder and lightning. 26 was big, strong and fast and 10 was small, quick and elusive.
  3. NCC dominated the first half and most of second half. SH's four flat defense wasn't up to the task tonight. NCC looked tough in all facets of the game. The Crusader's only goal came from senior Cory Eibel. SH needs to bounce back for Tuesday's game at Anderson.
  4. St. Henry over Dixie 6-0 at St. Henry. Six different players score for St. Henry.
  5. Highlands looked like all state the first 15 or 20 minutes and then they seemed to lose some speed. SH made a nice run late in the first half coming from behind 1-0 to go up 2-1. Highlands moved the ball well late in the second half but couldn't put it in the net. St. Henry bounces back from a loss to Lex Cath.
  6. Scott over St. Henry in first game. Scott was faster, more physical and passed better.
  7. My son told me last night that the St. Henry/Scott game might be at 5:00 on Friday, instead of 8:00, due to teams dropping out. SH coach is trying to keep the game at 8:00. Has anyone else heard of teams dropping out this year?
  8. I would enforce the rule such that if both feet left the ground while you had the ball in your possession, whether you had established a pivot foot or not, you would need to get rid of it before you land again. That should eliminate an extra three to five feet of penetration without a dribble vs. the 70's rules and the catch the ball and then hop sideways to get your feet just right before you take the jump shot.
  9. I think the old school rule would be that you get 1 1/2 steps on a layup period and otherwise if both feet leave the ground while you have the ball and you don't get rid of it before you come back down its illegal.
  10. Maybe I'm reluctant to change but the little sideways hop before the jump shot and the extra step it equates to on a layup seems like it has changed the game for the worse
  11. Walton only had four players score? Did Grant Moeves play?
  12. 2003 Honda Accord 2009 Toyota Sienna 2011 Toyota Camry
  13. You would think with the budget deficits and the lack of funding for the Brent Spence bridge, the elected officials of the Commonwealth of Kentucky might have more important things to concern themselves with.
  14. If you're 50 or older is there anyone who did not get paddled?
  15. Ryle had at least one 8th grader playing for them last year - Alex Brownell. He's a big, strong player. I'm guessing there were others as well but I'm not sure how many.
  16. I've seen similar differences between northern Kentucky and the Lancaster/Danville area. This isn't a state tax issue and I can't believe the proprietors in Central Kentucky are willing to take that much less money. It must have something to do with the supply coming from different refineries. One may be buying at Brent crude prices while the other is buying at WTI prices which have been running about $20 per barrel different for some reason.
  17. St. Henry should be tough again this coming year with a strong class of Juniors returning that includes Libby Leedom.
