  1. Toothpick, do you mind if I ask how mnay seniors you will be losing. Also, how old (Junior?) is Mr. Jackson and what do you think he is better at RB or LB? Any potential for D1 AA in the future?
  2. Beechwood fan or not, that comment was in bad taste.
  3. duke42, I don't appreciate you making a comment such as that. Would you dare explain yourself? Why yould you make such a comment in a thread Beechwood fans and possibly players might see. I'm sorry if you have had a bad experience with Beechwood in some way. Possibly Beechwood may have defeated your team, and you feel that you must snipe a comment such as that. Rude in my opinion. Reading some of your previous posts about Beecwhood you mention you "support your son's decision to not play for Noel Rash anymore". Do you have beef with Coach Rash? Or do you have beef with the Beechwood seniors? Anyways I'm sorry your son didn't like the program.
  4. Ask Mr. Jackson. It's up to him how many points he WANTS to put on the board.
  5. As a Tiger super fan, I must say I wanted Beechwood to win. However, I cannot deny the fact that the game against Mayfield was "fair and square". Unfortunately, the tigers will have to wait at least another year before they can play anyone. It would have been nice to have another week but I do hope that Mayfield takes the state title. On another note I would like to thank Mayfield for their hospitality. Great season tigers! Can't wait to watch Nussbaum's (this is the correct way to spell his name) senior year! P.S. In regards to the last drive's penalties, whether they were wrong or right does not change the scoreboard in Beechwood's favor. That was a fair fight, Beechwood vs. Mayfield. Mayfield won, accept it...
  6. From watching the Cardinals the past few years. I would disagree with an notion of this being a better year than "2010". Cardinal offense was much stronger compared to this years. However, I can not debate whether their defense between 2010 and 2011. Without a doubt, Mayfield is a strong team. Beechwood is also a strong team. Beechwood will pull away with a victory due to its outstanding offense (Vocke, Nussbaum) and a very strong defense (Bradley, Nussbaum, Staten). It will being close and interesting, but we will just have to see what happens.
  7. Any radio broadcasts or anything for fans who can't make the game?
  8. Impressive debut for Coach Miller. Beechwood is missing Corey Cruse, Cameron Vocke, Max Nussbaum and Gage Erdman because of football. At least two of those players will start for the Tigers this year.
  9. Beechwood 28 Mayfield 14. I just think that BW has too many weapons.
  10. Towles simply makes plays. 42 for Highlands made nothing but plays and Gray could never get started. Highlands impressed me a whole lot tonight.
  11. I tip my cap to the Frankfort bunch. They hung in until Beechwood's depth took over. Here comes the matchup we've all been waiting for: Mayfield Vs. Beechwood. Can't wait.
  12. I think you'll see Cody "Bobcat" Gohs everywhere on the field this year, SS, 2B OF and Pitcher.
  13. Also, Carter Richardson will be a good backup at the 1 and 2 positions. He has an excellent jump shot, and has gained 30 pounds of muscle this offseason.
  14. McKenzie is a good 6'8". He has been working very hard this year to improve his offensive game. I believe you will see a "new" Mitch McKenzie. His brother has been instrumental in his improvement.
  15. Couldnt agree more VOR. Cruse/Mckenzie/Maus have to be forces in the paint and Prewitt/Estrella have to distribute the ball and make shots. Monster Potential for this squad, hopefully it shows!
  16. The Beechwood Tigers roll into the 2011-2012 season with a new coach, Mike Miller. Word on the street is he has his boys well conditioned, and is looking to make a run at districts and quite possibly regions. The team is lead by center Mitchell Mckenzie. He has gained 20 pounds this off season, and has learned an excellent jump hook. Him and his brother, Griffin Mckenzie a PF at Xavier, have been working hard this summer perfecting Mitch's game. Baker Prewitt will be commander and chief of the tiger's offense. Prewitt will be a good floor general. RJ Estrella at shooting guard has excellent form. He is very quick with the ball, and could make an impact this season. Starter since freshman year, Max Nussbaum, looks to have yet another terrific year. He drives to the hole with determination, which gets him a lot of good looks. Power Forward Corey Cruse will be the difference maker for the tigers this season. If he perfects his jump shot, and learns to body up against bigs look for him to have a breakout season. Corey has gained a lot of muscle and is stronger than ever. Chase Maus, also starter from freshman year, looks to be another impact player. Gage Erdman coming off the bench could be the X-Factor this team needs with his very agressive play. As of right now it looks like Beechwood star running back, Cameron Vocke, is going to play. He, of course, is very fast. He could be a slash player, and be a vital part of the Tigers attack. All in all, look for the Tigers to have a good season. Mike Miller is a great coach, and will do wonders for the Beechwood basketball program. Thoughts?
  17. Beechwood will be tough with Gohs. They need pitchers like Smith and Brilz to step up.
  18. Brett Eyckmans OT from Beechwood was offered today by UT-Martin. No word on if he'll accept the offer but what an accomplishment! Congrats to a great young man.:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa:dancingpa
  19. Highlands by 21 + Towles will be too much for the Colonels.
  20. Sorry he is being honest. I was taught honesty the best policy
