Hammerman we agree to disagree and thats what makes this fun

Not this year, Scott County is using more kids and is not loosing strenght in the second half, I think these two teams would make an excellent match up and would like to see them play. Not saying Scott County would win just saying it would be a good game and SC would have a very fair chance of winning.

jack99, I do not disaggree with you yes it is fun to play in the finals but it is more fun to win, ask anyone who has won a state championship. Yes I remember them being there, I was at the game. I had a son that started center for them when Cronin was qb. I have followed Scott County football sense I was on the first football team in 1964. I have seen more ups and downs with this program and remember when we had a hard time fielding a team. Hammerman, I have watched Lex Cath and Boyle play this year and think Scott County would beat both these teams this year. Also our pass defence is better this year than any prior year and we do average 115 yards per game in the air. I also believe like you that we need to play a tough scedule outside of conference games. Scott County is a dominate team in the Lexington area and has been for the past 3 years.

Just two teams are not ranked in the Max Prep top 50. Highlands is ranked 256 and Elder is 324. Should be a good game.

McKee has developed a winning program, in the past he has done this with most players playing both ways. This year it is different he is using more players and only a few play both ways and all of them get rested. He is using his younger good athelets for special teams and also working them into the line-up. I do believe he needs to strenghen his schedule to get the respect the team deserves. A close lose against a good program is better than a win against Webster County. I look for Scott County to only become better. They have a good group of Jr. Soph. and Freshman and also the feeder schools are strong. If he continues on the path he is on in a few years we will not have anyone going both ways and will have number in the 90s play for him. I think he will not only have a winning program but a strong program that will compete evey year with all the strong programs.

Both teams have improved over the season but looking at the history I give MC the edge 38-27

I think the 2,3, and 4 rankings are up for grabs between Scott County St-X and Manual. Scott County has stepped up a level. They are dressing more kids, but also are using more kids in the rotaion. Our Roster is 74 with only 17 seniors and the freshman class has 60 kids. Only a few kids play both ways and they get plenty of rest. We have not played anyone that has challenged us, our defence has limited our opponents to one touch down per game most of the time in the last quarter playing against the JV second team. I fell we can play with the Louisville teams all but Trinity who has also stepped up a level or two and plays a very difficult schedule. I also look forward to the play offs and hope we are able to meet Trinity in the finals. Dont think Scott County will win, but it would give us difinition of where we are.

Owen County 38 14

Reviewing stats against common opponents it looks it looks that SK has the better defence but us only averaging 9.6 points per game where Dixie Averages 27 points per game. Both teams are with in yard of average total yards per game SK 197.3 yds with Dixie averging 196.8. SK has a more balanced attack with 106 yrd on the ground and 91.3 yards in the air. Dixie is not a balance attack with 21.5 yards on the ground and 175 yards in the air average. The Key to the game is SK will need to stop the pass on defence and get more scoring out of there 197 yrds per game. With this being said I take Dixie 14 to 10
