Oh and by the way in another thread when someone from South Oldham said something about players being out , You said "I'm over the player being out thing". You know if SK wins the 3rd game (which there probably will be a 3rd game) I guess I can have the excuse of "Well it's hard to beat a team 3 times".

I have some extra towels for you to cry in! Coach Hicks is trying to turn around a program that hasn't had anything to be excited about for years, and he is doing a fantastic job! Locking up the #1 seed in the district is a big deal to a group of kids who have heard since 3rd grade that they were not going to win and guess what they won. If all you can do is criticize what other coaches and players do then you need to get a life! it's High School basketball.

Didn't mean any disrespect Maniac but you know its "What have you done for me lately?" mentality.

Same crap about Grant County's schedule as we heard last year! Only those who seem threatened or their team not being talked about are the ones complaining. Its' all a matter of opinion and we know what those are like. No Grant County has not played Ballard or Madison Central or Henry Clay etc.. but they have played some pretty good teams. People think the Eminence win wasn't a good win but Eminence has some athletes! Ask Owen Co. and Henry Co. Say whatever you want the Ryle game went down to the wire, they did get blown out by Southwestern which was expected but the margin was surprising and the Woodford Co. game was 38-36 with about 2:45 to go. Not bad for a team that has 2 returning starters 1 Jr. and 1 Soph. and the remaining 3 starters are seeing their first major varsity minutes. They had limited roles last season and to get these kids some confidence is commended. I personally have heard very complementary comments from various coaches around the area about this young Braves group. So why do all of you guys that think you know basketball get on here and say who can play, or who plays who. Let the kids play and enjoy the success their having! They read this stuff! Who Grant Co. played 5-10 years ago is meaningless.

Worst tournament you could possibly put your team in! Very poorly run, the games are more like summer scrimmages, brackets change right up until its time for you to play based on how you have performed against other teams. I have never seen officials blatantly affect the outcome of basketball games before UNTIL this week. I watched a Tenn. team get totally screwed over against the home team. I saw a very conservative guess of 25+ walks called in one game and an official say and I quote " If you touch the ball and your feet move before it hits the floor its a walk." Thank God we don't play in that region. I know there will be some get on here and defend the referees but that's your right, they were flat out pathetic! they engaged fans after the game and told them we'll see you tomorrow with a smirk on their face. One parent pointed out that we all are held accountable at our jobs why can't some of these clowns be held accountable for their actions towards kids. I am not blaming the officials on the loss that my team suffered, as I feel we were probably going to get beat by 20, but I do feel they added about 15-20 points to the margin of victory. the free throw difference was 35-10 and they were shooting the Double Bonus with 3:32 remaining in the 1st quarter. Bottom line its a sorry place to play basketball!

Yes with 22 seconds to go the Taylor County coach said thats it and they quit. Never saw anything like it

Braves move tp 9-1 Taylor County concedes the game with 22 seconds remaining.

Compared to this crew which was 12th region, they are spectacular! Lol! And we won!

Worst officials ever. Very thankful for our 8th region officials.

Grant Co. came out flat. Did not shoot the ball well, did not play the up in your face defense and did not rebound. I think they were suffering a little hangover after the SK win Friday night. They will be fine.

Rough shooting night for the Braves. They had their chances but couldn't get over the hump. The big kid inside was too much for GC to handle on this night.

He's a 6'0 Jr. I wont tell you what my opinion is on his strengths and abilities due to the fact a Dad tends to be biased in that respect. He has been contacted by Shawnee State and Cedarville University. One thing that I keep hearing over and over is why SK didn't win, No they maybe not the SK team everyone expected but they still have some fine players. Lets give Grant Co a little credit they aren't the GC team of years past.
