I agree the middle school games are used as a training ground and rightfully so. The ones that are there for the right reasons and take it seriously should be there and it is understandable to miss calls. I am talking about the ones that you can tell when they get there that they would rather be somewhere else and just go thru the motions. If it is a training ground let the middle schools grade them on their performance. I seen some of the bad ones move up to high school games this year and suddenly they are more serious. Take it serious at both levels not just log the hours.

Totally disagree with the highlighted statement... They get paid to ref a game and should treat it no differently than if they were doing a HS game. Unfortunately, most of the guys they get for the MS games are just there to collect a check.

I was at all the games and I thought the entire tournament was well officiated. Out of 15 games I can probably think of 2-3 instances where I thought there was a bad call. Didn't Dyehouse do the championship game last year as well?

Exactly, my point they could be giving a clouded version. I am only making this one statement. As stated earlier in the thread every coach has a style that works for them. Your going to have people that like it and some that don't. You will never make everyone happy. You will have lots of critics and people that base their entire opinion of you based on one or two games. I will be honest I formed an opinion of one of your coaches based on 1 game last year then had the pleasure to meet this person and realized that my opinion was very wrong.

I have sat quietly and not said much and still won't. Your previous post said you don't know who they are and don't care yet you say they made all these contributions and got into games. Which is it?

I think it's ridiculous to get angry or start trying to blame people for canceling the game. Whoever did made the right call, the safety of the kids involved and the fans that support them is most important.

I agree with you that coaching does matter. Let’s go back to the original poster that stated the difference in this game was coaching. That is a ridiculous statement for this game, both teams had solid game plans from a coaching perspective and the more talented team one.

By no means do I agree with stall ball but every move a coach/ team makes to gain the advantage can be considered "Chicanery". That is how you play games!
