  1. It's close but I'd give Kyle Fuller from HC a slight edge as being the top Junior pitcher in the region this year. Both outstanding pitchers. Here is the latest stats I found on each if they are updated. Fuller: 7-0 with a 1.85 ERA - 39 K's and 13 walks Maile: 5-1 with a 2.06 ERA - 35 K's and 19 walks
  2. According to the KY Post article, Roesel will have to sit out the next 2 games. http://www.kypost.com/dpp/sports/ryle%27s-roesel-out-for-district-tournament
  3. Holy Cross vs. Simon Kenton tonight at 7:00 pm at Meinken. Holy Cross at Scott tomorrow at 11:00 am
  4. Cap41 - you are correct, at least 2 of those 3 runners in that inning were on via dropped 3rd strikes. Ritter got 5 outs that inning. Senior/Alumni night tonight vs. Simon Kenton at 7:00 pm. Should be a fun night honoring the seniors and state tournament classes of 1974 and 1980.
  5. Final from Meinken Field. Nick Ritter tunes up for next week's districts with a complete game shutout. Blake Tiberi goes 4-4 for the Indians.
  6. Last home game for the Indians tomorrow night at 7:00 pm at Meinken. * Prior to the game they will be honoring the seniors as well as the players from the 1974 and 1980 state tournament teams. Should be a great night of baseball and fun for the Holy Cross baseball program.
  7. Would Krumps consider giving the ball to Brian Fagel after he shut down the Indians last Saturday night? Ritter or Fuller for Holy Cross is the other question.
  8. Wednesday - May 25th @ Meinken Field....From what I've been told the game times for all 35th district games will be either 5:30 or 6:00 starts. Tuesday - May 24th - Holmes vs. Beechwood Wednesday - May 25th - Holy Cross vs. Cov Cath Thursday - May 26th - Winners play
  9. 35th Championship would be Thursday (5/26) at Meinken.
  10. KY Baseball: Week 7 1 Holy Cross 86 (7) 2 Covington Catholic 79 (2) 3 Newport Catholic 63 4 Boone County 52 4 Ryle 52 6 Beechwood 48 7 Dixie Heights 35 8 Conner 27 8 Campbell County 27 10 Brossart 23 * I know these polls don't mean a whole lot as any of these teams can beat the other on a given day. It is however interesting now that the Top 2 teams in the region currently in Holy Cross and Cov Cath will play in first round of districts a week from today. It should be a fun couple weeks of baseball. Good luck to all teams !
  11. Maybe a little hangover from winning the Conner Classic over the weekend for Cov Cath ?
  12. REW2 can't get his facts right - Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th they were scheduled to travel down and play Lex Cath. Nice try though !
  13. Clyde - This guy must not get out much to watch any games. To say Holy Cross doesn't play a tough schedule is ridiculous.
  14. NCC - Cov Cath - Boone Co - Conner - Dixie.....5 of the wins during the streak. I guess those aren't considered quality wins. They are 5 out of the Top 8 teams in the region right now.
  15. Norm is dillusional VOR - How can anyone say their run isn't impressive. Holy Cross plays a top schedule year after year. Must be a Beechwood or Cov Cath fan. Also, they tried to go outside and play teams such as Lex Cath but it got cancelled at the last minute by Lex Cath. No fault to HC.
  16. Looks like Laumann had a rough outing on the bump.
  17. No one seems to be talking about the 1-2 combo of Kyle Fuller and Nick Ritter from Holy Cross. Both guys really have it going right now for the stretch run. Yesterday Fuller beats Dixie 3-0 to improve his record to 7-0 on the year and lower his ERA down to around 1.00.
  18. I do believe Fuller can throw that hard. I was down at Applebee's Park 2years ago and as a Freshman he got in the All A state game and he hit 83 on the gun down there. Give the Indians a lot of credit for this great run they are on - And I agree with Straightshooter, for what it's worth HC is playing like the #1 team in the region "right now".
  19. CovCathIRadio - Did you guys broadcast the game yesterday?
  20. Not sure what one has to do with the other? They had an off day today and decided to take it the BW/CCH game.
  21. Holy Cross has been on fire the last 2+ weeks but I'm not sure about Dixie being hot coming into this matchup, which would worry me if I am Coach Holtz. Dixie has underachieved all year but have a talented enough team to get hot down the stretch and beat anyone, including HC tomorrow. Should be a great game - I'll go with the red hot Indians 6-2.
  22. Should be a good one at Dixie tomorrow, hopefully the rain will hold off and allow these 2 teams to play tomorrow. They got rained out earlier.
