This game had an exciting finish. Henry Clay was up by 14 at one point. Madison Central came back to within 1 point with less than a minute to go. They went for the 2 point conversion to win, but missed on a pass play.

Believe me, we would all like to see the starters in for the majority of every game. It's difficult for the college prospects to put up good stats with the equivalent of half games. It is what it is.

"My guess is Scott Co. would be 0-3 against Riverdale, BG, & Moeller..." - We will have to agree to disagree. Watch Scott Co play and let me know if you still feel that way." "Why would Scott Co. schedule one of the weakest 3A schools in the state in Webster Co..." - Apparently, it was the last open week in Scott Co's schedule, late in the scheduling process, and no other available teams were willing to play SC. Remember, they made it to the 6A semi-finals last year and had 14 returning starters. Regarding all the "weak schedule" comments - The Lexington area schools traditionally play each other every year, just like Louisville and NKY 6A programs, and I hope that never stops. Local rivalries are what has made high school football thrive for years. Then you start filling in games based on availability, travel budget, relationships between coachs and other influences. Simon Kenton was 10-3 last year. Seneca won half their games and produced a D1 QB. Harrison-Scott Co has been a healthy rivalry and Harrison Co won half their games last year, too. But here's the bottomline - Scott County is a very good team that is dominating every game, but some of you won't believe that unless you see them playing in Bowling Green in December. Thought it would be interesting to see which undefeated Varsity programs also have undefeated JV and Frosh teams season to date. Let's compile the list before arguing about how tough anyone's JV or Frosh opponenets have been. Copy the previous list. Update the records you know and delete anyone that had a JV or Frosh loss, i.e. Highland and Bowling Green are not on the list because of 1 or more losses. I agree with X at 4th. I get the whole "quality of their opponents" argument, but Scott County has dominated their opponents, including four 6A programs. They deserve to be in the top 2 or 3 until someone beats them.

GRC is a very physical team. Not sure what happened against Henry Clay, but their other losses were to Bryan Station (4-1) and Scott County (6-0). Get someone settled into that QB spot and GRC has a shot at winning their district.

Bryan Station always has good athletes and this year they are playing with passion. Bryan Station wants the win more and will get it by 7-14 points.

This one will likely have a running clock by halftime. Highlands wins big.

This will be a great game to watch. Two good teams with a healthy rivalry. Both can run the ball, but I think Lex Cath has a sliGht advantage in the air.

GRC is a better team than theIr 2-3 record indicates.

They didn't pass a lot against TC, but it would be a mistake for any team to ovelook Scott County's passing game. Lawler averages 50-60 passing yards per quarter and has a strong arm. That gets masked by how early the starting offense has been getting pulled. The second offense goes in as soon as they hit a running clock and then Scott County sticks mostly to a ground game. Lawler to Daniels has been a very effective weapon.

I agree. Good hands as a receiver, too.

Wow, these types of comments are a good way to get players injured. Words of hatred usually spark actions of hatred, and those actions will be directed at the high school boys, not their coaches. Please consider that in your posts.

Bryan Station (3-1) at Tates Creek (2-3), who wins and why?

Their offense can and will run inside, off tackle, outside or pass. They mix in healthy doses of misdirection, play action, bootleg and spread to confuse defenses, and they have the QB and horses to pull it off. Scott County averages 230 rushing yards/game, but that's spread across the FB, two RBs, QB, and 7 others off the bench. They pass often to the WR on any route in the playbook, or the ball could be headed to the TE or one of the RBs coming out of the backfield. SC's O-line is quick to engage and has been able to out leverage some large D-linemen. Starting D has only allowed 1 TD in 5 games. Their D-line is very physical and gets in the backfield. The Linebackers and secondary get to the ball quickly, do a great job of containing, and have allowed only 70 yards/game in the air. Kicking and special teams have been very effect, too. Not sure we've seen any weaknesses yet.

No doubt, Manual continues their win streak.
