Scott County 48 George Rogers Clark 6

Featured Replies

Scott Co just to big and powerful for GRC. Hope Campbell is OK. He went out in the 2nd quarter and Pokey Harris had to take over at QB.

Scott Co improves to 6-0. They have a open date this coming week. GRC will take on Harlan Co @ GRC.

Caught part of the game on the radio. Sounded liked a rough game for the Cardinals (GRC). Hope Campbell is ok and will be back by next week.

GRC is a better team than theIr 2-3 record indicates.

Thanks our inexperience at QB is showing. Again we used 4 QB's in the game last night. Pokey Harris asked to play many positions, punt return, QB, and RB/DB.

Article on the game:

GEORGETOWN¿— Scott County showed no signs of letting up.

The host Cardinals continued their early-season dominance with a 48-6 win over George Rogers Clark Friday night at Totoya Stadium.

The loss was the third in a row for Clark, which opened with two straight victories. The Cardinals (2-3) hadn’t defeated Scott County since 1996. The losing streak continued against the host Cardinals, ranked No. 3 in this week’s Associated Press Class 6A poll.

“Our guys played hard and they’re a good team,” Clark coach Paul Columbia said afterward. “We just didn’t execute well enough.”

Scott County (6-0) put the game away with a 27-point outburst in the first half. The hosts led 13-0 with three minutes remaining in the opening quarter, but scored two touchdowns and picked off Clark reserve quarterback Christian Cooke’s pass inside their own 15-yard line to close out the half.

Clark quarterback Reid Campbell suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter and didn’t return. Campbell walked off the field on crutches following the game and plans to get the injured right ankle x-rayed today.
