The biggest non playoff game of the year for both teams is here and is at Boyle County next week. Two of the top 5 teams in 4A clash for what would be home field advantage if these two meet in the playoffs. Both are coming off their first district wins of the season. Boyle won 57-0 over Taylor County. LexCath had a 48-7 victory over Mercer County. This should be another tight game. Boyle's defense will be challenged as will LexCath's. I can't wait.

This may be one of the biggest games of the whole regular season in 4A. From what has taken place so far, this should be an excellent game and a tough one for me to pick. Regardless of who wins, I'm thinking this should be close.

This will be a great game to watch. Two good teams with a healthy rivalry. Both can run the ball, but I think Lex Cath has a sliGht advantage in the air.

This game will be close and it could go either way. I think that LC has the advantage this time.

I know, I'm getting ready to go to it. Today's game between Highlands/Cov Cath and next week's game between Lex Cath/Boyle have to be the biggest games remaining in 4A of the remaining regular season.

That seems to be the common belief. That is what I expect. I'll be encouraged if it is closer. Very encouraged.

I'll go with Lexington Catholic. Both teams are very similar, but LC throws the ball much better. Don't think Boyle can score with LC.

Are the two running backs at LexCath sophomores?

 

Marcelus Logan (#10), son of UK and NFL star Marc Logan, and Noah Mitchell (#22) are sophomores. Amoh Kumengisa (#28) is a junior. Kairon Snowden (#23) is also a sophomore. Other starting sophomores are wide out and return man - David Bouvier (#12) and Linebacker/Long Snapper - Josh Mesmer (#11).

Wow. I was impressed with #10, #28 and #12 last night. I remember watching #10 and #28 in the freshman game last year. Looks like next year LexCath could or should very well be the favorites in 4A next year.

Amazing how Highlands comments seem to infect every thread in the football forum. I guess that is understandable considering that only 70% of the threads in the football forum are related to Highlands football and people need to expand their comments to the other threads.
