Wouldn't that push the championship games into the second week of December? This might make some basketball coaches unhappy!

I am curious to gather opinions on which is more beneficial, a bye week or an extra scrimmage at the beginning of the season? Seems like some of the teams I saw scrimmage are not ready for competitive play. What do you think?

Lafayette moved the ball pretty well against Collins. The edge in particular looks available. Collins stayed in their game with two big pass plays, the same play to the same receiver, one after an onside kick. SK did not show any big play capability against St. X and the play calling was somewhat strange which leads me to believe they treat the scrimmage as practice and not a competitive situation. X brought 7 defenders on almost every pass play. Both defenses played very well. Some of SK play calling really confused me. You got this huge OL playing against a much smaller, lighter defense , and you keep running off tackle? I hope that if this were a competitive situation, that SK would have run the ball between the tackles until X stopped it! The call on the goal line was particularly, well, awful! Maybe they just had something they wanted to work on.

Talk to the Cordia basketball players or the Fairview football players! Has nothing to do with not liking the coach. It is about unethical behavior by a HC , supported by an administrator. As far as I'm concerned, an agenda that conflicts with putting the best team on the field (other than disciplinary measures) rises to the same level of ethical disgust as cheating.

KHSAA transfer rule still applies. If AF is denied reinstatement at Boone, he will almost certainly have to change addresses.

And the best decision would have been to let him go. Boone Counties strict districting system not only protects under performing schools, but also under performing football programs. When Thompson was given his walking papers, players should have been given the right to transfer with out penatly.

Trust, loyalty, selflessness are given until an organization loses respect because of negative values that drive decisions. The HC is gone, but the Principal is still there and he has a LOT OF ACCOUNTABILITY and RESPOSIBILITY for the state of Boone's program. I believe AF deserves reinstatement at Boone. He did nothing that you could characterize as misconduct. But, if he is not reinstated at Boone, I suspect his high school football career may not yet be over.

Guru, do you have any info on whether AF is practicing at BC?
