  1. Mayfields played noone near as good as Highlands, but, you're right, Trousdale is likely better or as good as Dixie or CCath and Graves Co is likely right there with them, as well. Calloway is likely pretty even with Holy Cross, too. I'm not too sure the district teams that each have played aren't equally as weak also. Hard for me to say better when it comes to the Fulton teams, but, geez, BBrossart, WVerona, Ludlow and Dayton sure aren't world beaters. By the way Mayfield averaged 51 pts while giving up 4 on average vs there district teams, so, not alot of difference in what the Beechies have done...
  2. But, they did beat them and now you're saying Bethlehem deserves a Top 10 ranking, so, apparently that was a pretty decent win by Campbellsville. I understand the starters out, etc, but, who's to say Campbellsville didn't have some players out as well. At this point, I just don't see any way Bethlehem deserves to be in the Top 10...Top 15, maybe...
  3. Noone is disrespecting the Beechies as they've earned there respect over the yrs, just stating they aren't as good as they've been in yrs past, which I'm pretty sure most people would agree on. I also doubt anything said or an opinion given on a message board has anything to do with whats going to happen on the field. I would certainly expect whoever faces them in the playoffs will absolutely take them serious and be up for the game..
  4. Not saying Beechwoods schedule isnt better than Mayfields. I'm saying you're giving them a whole lot of credit for dominating there district and my point is Dayton, Ludlow, WVerona and BBrossart are every bit as bad as Ballard, Fulton Co and Fulton City and that's not saying much. As far as Holy Cross, I don't think beating Pikeville is anything to brag about when there other 3 losses were by 45+ except theres. Not sure beating an average 1a team(Bellevue) changes my mind either. I'm not sure Mayfield or LCA would beat Dixie or CCath, but, I feel relatively certain it wouldn't be a blowout like it was vs Beechwood..
  5. Possibly, but, they'll have to play a whole lot better than they have thus far. They certainly will get the opportunity to prove it..
  6. We all have opinions Ram. To me, Dixie is an average team, at best. I would put LCA or Mayfield against them every day of the week and twice on sundays. Same with Cov Catholic. Not saying they aren't good teams, but, neither is a powerhouse either, except in name in CCs case. I don't consider 2a-Holy Cross a power either, another pretty decent team, nothing more, nothing less and the Beechies were pushed and then some against them. Last years Beechwood team beats this years HCross team by 30+. As far as winning big in district, give me a break, please. It's certainly not like Dayton, Ludlow, BBrossart and WVerona are anything to brag about. I could name over 50 teams in Ky that could put up similar #s against those teams and thats calling off the dogs early 2nd half...
  7. 7 - Owensboro 5 - Glasgow 3 - Mayfield 2 - Monroe Co 1 - Union Co TB - Mayfield
  8. Beechwood isn't nearly the same team as they were last year and Crittenden is better. I think either Mayfield or CC will beat Beechwood this year, if they even make it that far. Wouldn't be shocked to see Frankfort knock off the Beechies beforehand either. I think people are underrating how good Crittenden is. I think LCA is deservedely #1 with Mayfield and Crittenden not far behind, then Beechwood, Frankfort and Hazard all pretty much even. Then 7 thru about 12 is a crap shoot with any of them capable of beating the other...
  9. I don't think they're 10 for 10, I wouldn't have had Pikeville in, Would have replaced them with Campbellsville..
  10. I really think Highlands should be 1 thru 4 though ...lol
  11. Yeah, Lone oak should be 3, but, other than that, looks good...
  12. I still think Campbellsville deserves to be in over Pikeville. I'd probably have Bellevue at 7, HCross at 8, Campbellsville at 9, Raceland at 10. I'd probably swap places with Crittenden and Beechwood and then with Hazard and Frankfort, but, it's close either way and overall, looks good...
  13. Can't really see Dixie being deservant, but, that'll take care of itself this week. They'll either prove worthy with a win or not with a loss...
  14. I think all 10 teams are the ones who should be in there, I'd probably have PBurg at 2 and Corbin at 3 with Desales at 4, NCC and Murray at 5 and 6 and Monroe at 7..8, 9 and 10 look good...Thats just me, but, overall, looks good...
  15. Yeah, I cant believe they left this game off and picked some of the ones they did. Geez.
  16. I think Mayfield likely wins, but, lets not forget CC did beat Mayfield twice last year and have 18 of 22 starters returning, plus, they're at home. I think either team is good enough to make it past Beechwood, Holy Cross or Frankfort this year and to the title game. Although this game is big for homefield purposes in the playoffs, in the bigger picture, theres a 95% chance that these 2 teams will play again in the Regional finals and both teams are capable of taking one or both or losing one or both...

  19. I thought Murray was pretty much a throwing team. Are they not?
  20. Maybe, but, I feel Ft Campbell would easily handle Lone Oak, likely 3+ scores and I also feel they would handle Lex Cath very similarily..I think it would be a tossup..I definately don't think they would be out talented, by any means. Likely the other way around. Ft Campbell most likely has more D1 prospects than Boyle does. I know that doesn't mean they would automatically win, but, it does usually mean they would hold there own..
  21. Certainly the knock on Lone Oak 2 yrs ago was the fact that there schedule was horrible, anyone saying otherwise is delusional, but, I will be the 1st to admit, they are making great strides to beef things up and take the next step with the elite teams across the state. The future looks very bright in Purple Flash land...:thumb:
  22. For what its worth, Campbellsville may have a better argument than Bellevue, Fairview or Pikeville...
