  1. snakesnot what is going on with some of you out west. You act like its you against the world. We live as far to the east as you can get without falling into the Ohio river. On the other side of the river is Ohio and West Virginia. That has to put us at the same advantage point. But yet I don't hear anyone from this end thinking we are getting disrespected. We live 125 miles from Lexington, 230 miles from Louisville, 125 miles from Covington. So it's not like we are in the loop. The biggest city around us is 25,000 in population. We can go to bigger cities not to far down the road. But we have to leave the state. Help us understand on this end of the state. You have in 1A a team ranked #2. And the last time I checked that is higher then #3. I think Beechwood is #3 arn't they? So is Beechwood getting more respect then Mayfield? I don't think so. Cret. Co is on your end of the state and was ranked #3 and #4 most of the year. It's Mayfield's fault that CC dropped so much. You had to go and beat them to death. Mayfield will have it's chance to prove themselves to everyone soon. If I were a betting man. I bet the Mayfield coaching staff likes being #2. And would rather not be #1 till the end of the season. It's called less pressure. And you still get as much respect. Have you herd the saying? It ain't who starts the game. It's who finishes the game. Mayfield will have it's chance to finish very soon. I think you will be in the championship game. Don't know if you will win. But I think you will be there in the end. NOW YOU SEE THAT IS RESPECT FROM SOMEONE 350 miles to your east. Be Believe me WE respect you and all of the ranked teams out west. Hey look at it this way. You can still play teams to your west without leaving the state. We can't play anyone to our east without leaving the state. We are on the state line. We are the one's backed in the corner.
  2. DOC I'm always willing to give my opinion. I think you know that very well. Why not tell how you feel. I don't try to hurt anyones feelings. And I hope people don't take me the wrong way. I do have a dry humor. With me you get what you get. I'll tell you straight out what I think. I'm not a fake. I have had people (Greenup Co) tell me that it wasn't fair that Carter was allowed to play on the team. So I'm sure that hurt some of the team moral. Now you have Rister and others coming back. And if he were permited to play. I would think that even more moral problems would service. It only takes one or two players to turn a team upside down. I think we all know that! Kids will be kids. Letting players come back to a team they once left and getting to play in front of the ones that have worked their butts off all year IMO is asking for trouble. Not only from the players. But fans/parents to. Alot of times you have moral problems and you don't know it till it's to late. It's like a cancer. I think the RAMS are in remission now!! I hope all will be well in muskie land. But :idunno: This is an opinion only. I don't know if this is going on at Greenup or not. Everything may be great. I don't no. Just speaking from experience.
  3. If Greenup Co doesn't generate a lot of first downs and control the time of position. Greenup Co will be in a lot of trouble. Greenup Co can't leave the defense out on the field all night. Greenup needs 20 first downs to come close to winning this game. Leaving the defense out on the field will be very destructive. Mason Co's speed on the corners will kill Greenup Co.
  4. Thats a very good idea!!:ylsuper: Can anyone let me know if this is possible. Thanks
  5. Good to hear from you again sunnyday. I don't think Ashland will blow Boyd out like some think. Boyd has lost 7 games by an avg. of 12.5 ppg. Thats not getting blowed out. And they have played some very good teams. I do think the lions will lose by 20+. But I think it will take all 4 qtrs for the tomcats to get there. I hope your GS has a good game. :thumb:
  6. Johnson Central and Belfry have two common opponents. Ashland and Sheldon Clark. Belfry beat Sheldon Clark 34-13 Johnson Central lost-----14-22 Belfry lost to Ashland 20-22 Johnson C won--------29-28 Belfry has won its last 6 games Johnson C has won last 5 games Belfry is ranked #2 in AAA Johnson C. ----#10 in AAAAA Belfry last 5 games offense 42.6------defense 18.0 Johnson Central -- offense 43.6------defense 16.8 Belfry is at home. Is this the deciding factor. Aprox 65-70 mile bus ride for JC. This should be a FIGHT to the finish. Good luck to both teams.
  7. If both teams make it that far. That would be a great game to watch!:ylsuper::popcorn:
  8. Mayfield is definitely rolling to BOWLING. Looking strong. We'll see how everyone matches up once we get into the 3rd and 4th rounds.
  9. Here we go!! Is Dr Phil in the house?
  10. I would love to see the LCA/Corbin game. I think LCA will win by 6. I think this game is going to be a shootout. A really hard hitting fast pace and fun game to watch. LCA--39---------CORBIN--33
  11. As always it looks good. But I'm sure some will be crying about why they are in 4th and not 3rd. ect. ect. Looks like some big time games for some of the 1A teams this week.
  12. This isn't going to happen...
  13. This is a rival game. I doubt your tomcats will be taking the lions to lightly. BC doesn't have the speed to keep up. The lions will play hard though. But speed kills and Ashland has all of it in this game. Boyd has a good QB. But even if he breaks away he will be run down shortly. If the Tomcats play their game they will be just fine.
  14. My oldest son wants to go see the Ashland/ Boyd Co game. And I want to go see Greenup Co/ Mason Co. So I'm sure when I ask my younger son which game he wants to go see he will say LCA/Pikeville. Kids rule in this family so who knows. But it will be one of the above.:idunno:
  15. The starters should start the game. They earned it. But it must suck sometime being a starter.I bet the JV players get as much time as the starters in a lot of these games. Hopkinsville is scoring 6.3 ppg the last three games. And Ft Campbell is avg over 55.4 ppg. What a bad miss match. Ft Campbell if you give a 110% you may get your 500th point scored this year!! Hang in their FC your offense will come around someday! 55 ppg, thats crazy. :notworthy::notworthy: And the defense is equally as good. I say lets take you up to Louisville and play the Cardinals! Or maybe Morehead St. Just stay away from my UK Wildcats. Fort Campbell you avg 1.15 points per minute. Fort Campbell you avg 13.85 points per Qtr. Thats more then HHS avg per game Fort Campbell you avg 27.7 points per half. That is 7.2 more points then HHS has scored total the last three games. I don't know what to say. TAKE IT EASY FRIDAY. Be:cool: Ft Campbell 60 Hopkinsville 6
  16. You have done a great job of getting everyone healthy DOC. You have earned your pay this season. I just wanted to say thanks for all you have done. I know personally two players you took care of. And you did a great job. Now all we ask is that you give us a 110% just like the players will be doing through the middle of Dec. I believe if this team plays to each and every players full potential we can go all the way. Am I crazy? Wasn't LCA a big favorite over Pikeville in 2008? Because on Nov 7th LCA beat Pikeville 49-7. Dec 5th Pikeville wins over LCA in the playoffs 28-21. Didn't Appalachian St go into Michigan's stadium and beat #5 Michigian in 2007? (sorry ramfan04) Didn't unranked Ole Miss beat a #4 Florida who won the National Championship in 2008 Didn't the NY Giants STUN the BIG BAD Patroits in Super Bowl XLII 2008. If all of these things happened, and I doubt very few thought they would. WHY CAN'T THE RAMS GO ALL THE WAY?:idunno: It Is Possible
  17. Unfortunately a lot of the RAM faithful witnessed this powerful running back break this record. I hear he is a great kid. And I'm sure if everyone at LCA says he is. He must be. But I can't wait till he is playing ball at the next level. He's a great back. But I'm really tired of seeing him on the field when we play LCA. :irked:
  18. Have no fear if you are a Burbon Co fan. If both teams hit their points per game avg. Burbon Co wins. Burbon Co the last three games is avg 19.6 ppg. While Paris is avg. 2 ppg. and the Paris defense is giving up 38 ppg. So I wouldn't worry to much.
  19. I read a quote by LOU HOLTZ. It says... Motivation is simple. You eliminate those who are not motivated.... I think this has been done with this team.
  20. Lets think about this a minute. Burbon Co is a 4A team. Paris 1A. Burbon Co has won 4 games and Paris 0. Paris has scored only 62 points in 9 games (6.8ppg).Does this mean they are going to shut out Burbon Co? I don't think so. Paris is giving up 40 ppg. Now if they play like a famous quote saying. (You will have to play this game like somebody just hit your mother with a two-by-four). If Paris does this they may keep it entertaining. I would love to see PARIS win this game.
  21. Now I'm starting to worry about you. I thought you could figure that one out on your own. You are a MDC. I'm just a layman. I do know we are both smart enough to know that if we don't keep our MOJO (as J. Barr said) together we will have trouble in the early rounds of the playoffs. So lets TCB on LC.. Is that better? I wouldn't want to step on any toes........ You may have to find a good M DC to work on you!!
  22. Just trying to help you out some. Like I always say 1 1/2 brains are better then one!!
