They need Mckee back playing defense and need to change their shortstop. Way too many balls going through his legs.

This was an outstanding game to watch. It only took an 1hour & 40 min to play. This was true pitchers duel. It was a shame someone had to lose this game. The Pittman kid was outstanding and Wilson was equal to the task. The 14 strikeouts by Pittman was something to see considering the way the Rams have been hitting the ball. They have hit the ball hard all season and at least put it in play. Striking out a lot as a team hasn't really happened. Congradulations to Middlesboro and good luck in the State. Also I would like to mention the OUTSTANDING job the umpires did in this game. This was the best umpired game I have ever seen in a High School game you guys should be proud of yourselves. Yes this is coming from a Ram fan that happened to be on the losing end of the game.

Oldrambler I wasn't disputing you or slighting Cville. The comment just plain out of this world was meant as a compliment. Would have loved to seen him hit. You are talking about getting a hit almost 6 out of every 10 at bats and that is truly amazing and I tip my baseball cap to him.

Shawn's hit streak stayed intact reached 16 games tonite. Hit the ball well but was 1-5. Makes him 23 for 53 and a .433 batting avg now still not to shabby. Would have loved to been able to see cvillecat hit .575 avg is just plain out of this world.

I'd guess that Wilson throws low to mid 80's. Nice change up and real good curve.

Shawn Reynolds has been hitting extremely well he has a 15 game hitting streak and is 22 for 48 for a .458 batting average.

Sorry about the misspelling Loren not one of my stronger points sometimes

Should be a good game!!!

Hey cincy do you know when, what time and where we play at ?

How good is Middleboro ?

Nice game for the Rams. Wilson pitched a real nice game didn't allow a base runner till the 5th inning. Shawn Reynolds had a big 2 out double to drive in 2 runs to make the game 5-0 to give the Rams a little breathing room. The boys hit the ball hard all nite. One of the better defensive plays you will see was when centerfielder Lauren Huffman threw a guy out at the plate to end the inning with an excellent block off of the plate by catcher Jeremy Barr. Congradulations to the Rams on the 16th Region all A championship:dancingpa Keep working hard and good things will continue to happen

Great job Russell!!

He knows more about pitching than anyone on their staff.

Drew Darby is going to be a good pitcher for Raceland. His dad has taught him well. Hoof should try and get him to coach his pitchers.

I agree with the two previous posts. I believe the boys are playing better together early in the season compared to last year. Also I think the pitching was good enough to win both ballgames. I am not trying to take anything away from Boyd or Greenup. They have got to be the favorites in the 16th region and we had a chance to win both games. If the Rams win both games then they are the talk of the town. With some hard work I believe they have a good chance come District time and maybe even region. We just got to work hard to get better on defense. This is not a knock on anybody we just got some boys playing in a different position defensively than last year. They just got to get comfortable playing their new positions and playing them together. I believe this will happen as the season goes along. This Ram team has a chance to be better than people thought. Jmo :dancingpa

Hoof is a great man and motivator, but his coaching decisions will make you scratch your head and say uh!! Raceland also bunted a runner from 2nd to third in the 7th inning while down 6-2. Why? The runner is in scoring position, this bunt just gives one of your outs away.

Raceland could have won this game some costly errors hurt. This is not to take anything away from Greenup we know they are a good team but Raceland could have won this game. Raceland is 0-2 and could just as easily be 2-0 the rams are ahead of last year. With some hard work and improvement which should come as the season goes on I think we can hold our own with anybody.Boys just keep your head up and work hard I think you all will have a good season ahead of you.

Congratulations to Boyd Co. Keep your heads up Raceland
