Whats it going to take for Raceland to get back on track?

Featured Replies

Raceland goes down tonight against Morgan County 7 to 0. Three games in a row being plaqued with errors and not hitting well. Has our Rams lost their confidence? My best advice is that they need to get back on track and start focusing on the basics and know that we havent given up on them we support them.

Rams will play Thursday at Lewis. Lets get back on the winning wagon like we know you can.

They need Mckee back playing defense and need to change their shortstop. Way too many balls going through his legs.

Yes, we need McKee on the field. The problem is if he comes back too soon, he won't be playing come District time. Injuring his shoulder more at this time will pretty much eliminate him from summer ball, too. So, as hard as it is to watch him not pitch, it is for his safety. That is my professional opinion, not a guess.

I think one thing that might get the guys back on track is the ability to hold a late inning lead. They battled from 9 down against Ashland to take a 2 run lead only to lose in the bottom of the 7th. They have 7 one run losses. I think the ability and talent to win is there. They just need that "killer" mentality to be able to will themselves not to lose the close games. Jmo.

Raceland has been in a lot of close games, with some programs that are having good seasons. Raceland won the "All A Regional Championship". They are doing well, they just have to get over the hump and turn those one point losses into one point wins. No need for them to get down, just keep the work going, and good things will happen.
