  1. Euton is having a very solid summer. In games with OBC he has went against some very talented kids such as Jared Sullinger and held his own. Dakotah's defense is really improving.
  2. I don't think anyone has said that. If you read the thread title, this is for the CLASS OF 2010. There are several other teams around the state with D1 talent, who are more than capable of winning the state title next year such as Eastern (Marks, Abell, Gaines), GRC (Stenzel, Purvis, Zollo), Christian Co (Wilson, Kates), and Warren Central (Fant, Shanklin), to name a few.
  3. Maxpreps has formed a list of the top 100 players in the country (c/o 2010) to watch this summer based on high school basketball production and success, AAU performance last summer, awards and honors, and potential for the next level. The following KY boys made the list: 6'8 Dakotah Euton- Scott Co 6'4 Chad Jackson- Scott Co 6'3 Ge'Lawn Guyn- Scott Co 6'7 Elijah Pittman- Holmes 6'5 Ricardo Johnson- Holmes http://www.maxpreps.com/news/article.aspx?articleid=36ee1275-1a3d-de11-a973-001cc494dda6
  4. Holmes size and athleticism against Eastern's quickness and athleticism would create great match ups across the board. I also like the potential of a Holmes/GRC match up as well: R. Johnson, J. Johnson, Rice, Pittman v Stenzel, Rogers, Purvis, and Zollo This field is absolutely loaded with talent.
  5. Maddox is very talented and athletic. I really like his game. Roy Stone and Aaron Nance of Seneca are two other players who could really open some eyes.
  6. Some other players I'd add to the watch list: Ian Chiles and Keisten Jones- Ballard Deonte Maddox- Seneca Josh Stroud- Fairdale
  7. Should be a very competitive field and exciting tournament. Anyone know how the brackets look and who plays who? Would really like to see Eastern, Holmes, and GRC play eachother...all three should be preseason top 5.
  8. Christian Co will be preseason top 10 with what they return. Hickey is very underrated at the Pg position. Very quick and athletic and rebounds well for his size. Veontae (SP?) Lewis will join him in the backcourt and is another solid contributor. The keys for CC will be Wilson and Kates. Both have D1 potential and Kates is rapidly rising on the recruiting scene for his class. If they both consistently play to their potential, CC will be very tough statewide. They should be back at Rupp this coming season and with the right draw could be playing on Saturday.
  9. How'd the KY Players do in the rest of their pool play games?
  10. I doubt very seriously he tries to dodge Holmes. That will become the new biggest rivalry in NKY over the next few years IMO.
  11. Who will Cosby be playing with? He's another one that plays for an out of state program.
  12. I meant Guyn and Euton have been playing with OBC some this summer. Not Zollo...my apologies.
  13. Guyn and Zollo have been playing with OBC this year as well. Both played for them in the King James Classic a few weeks ago.
  14. Who will Zollo, Guyn, and Euton be playing for? All three play for out of state AAU programs.
  15. Bryan isn't one of the best all around players in the region. He is one of the better offensive players, but I still wouldn't consider him top 10. He is forced to score the way he does because his team isn't very good, hence the amount of shots he takes per game to get his numbers.
  16. From what I heard, the final 5 candidates were: Goetz, Key, Feldman, Kelley, and Flynn. Interesting...no Schumate or Carr. Can anyone confirm this?
  17. See the late 80's, early 90's Holmes teams...that's what Flynn brings to the table offensively.
  18. Both players signed today at 12:30. Here is a little from Ryan Ernst blog: Holmes senior guards JaMel Riley and Brandon Housley will sign with Cincinnati State at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday according to Holmes coach David Henley. Riley, the Bulldogs' starting point guard, and Housley, the team's sixth man, helped lead Holmes to the program's first state title this season. Riley, a member of the all-tournament team, averaged 10 points a game and shot 41 percent from 3-point range. Housley, one of the team's top defenders, averaged seven points a game. Henley on Housley: "He's just one of those guys who worked hard every day at practice and made himself better. He didn't put up huge numbers, but it seemed like he always made big plays when we needed them." Henley on Riley as a possible Division I player: "It depends on if it's the right situation. In a program that likes to spread the floor and penetrate and pitch to shooters, he could fit in." 19. The official announcement is supposed to be Friday...but I have a gut feeling that it's Kelley from Lafayette...he seemed to be the best fit for the available teaching positions. There's a booster meeting tonight...FWIW.
  20. Seneca lost one senior. They will be tough next year.
  21. So would you consider Trinity as the second best team in the 7th next year? IMO Male will be preseason top 15. I just don't see that with Trinity.
  22. Not on the same level as Male or Eastern though IMO.
