  1. You all obviously do not know this man and you cannot always believe what you read. The newspaper and their writers can sometimes add one word or take one word away that can make a statement completely change it's context. Coach Sorrell is not self-endulgent, he is about his team and he is still playing so I am sure he is just trying to keep them motivated to play hard in the next game. Geez guys, this thread has really gotten out of hand. Turn the microscope off and talk basketball, that's what its about....
  2. :notworthy:It was a spelling, not grammar mistake.... just FYI
  3. Wow, it's mature as long as are talking about an adult and not the players. I'll make a mental note of that! :puke: And it's spelled CAPTAIN.
  4. There are only a few districts in the entire state that still blind draw. The purpose of the regional tournament is to narrow down to the best 8 teams from the region and ultimately send the best team to the state tournament. In order to do this, there has to be seeding in the districts. My comment was in support of Coach Sorrell and his team. I wish them the best of luck, but the state needs to intervene so that the regional and state tournaments are represented by the best basketball teams and NCC and Highlands are two of the best 8 teams in the region without question.
  5. Everyone knows that the draw in that district is wrong and that Highlands and NCC belong in the regional tournament, but really is it necessary to mock a coach's comment? I am sure that it is exciting for Coach Sorrell and his kids to have the privilege of playing in a regional tournament. Until the state changes something, it is what it is. Coach Sorell is a good guy and he and his kids work hard, so I wish them luck. I am just not a fan of mocking coaches and poking comments, they take enough of that from their own parents.
  6. Also thought this was a great effort by the Tigers. There is a great future at Beechwood if all of their players stay put.....
  7. I see that as a strong possiblity if these girls stay together. It should be interesting to see them make progress!
  8. IMO Colosimo is a better passer than rigdon. If you look at the two previous scrimages he was, for the most part, on the money. It looked like his incompletions were due to nerves and it also looked like his recievers were loafing a little bit.
  9. Buettle is hurt with a back injury. Sucked it up and played in the big game. If you watched closely throughout the game you could see him grimacing in pain. Romes and Buettle lead this team. Sometimes they both step up, but if one isn't having a great game, the other one does. I applaud Buettle's effort in the win, Romes's effort as well. Not sure if they would have won without Buettle on the floor. It speaks a ton to the team when they know your hurt and you still lay it on the line. Good win!
